It says that I owe xxxx$. What is that money? I mean how did they estimate that number?

It's probably your tuition bill....if you have aid coming it should show "pending credits"

I have a bill, but it doesn't show any pending credits for financial aid as of yet....whats up with this?

The problem is it is more than what I expected, at least more than what my FA letter said, I believe.

PS: Do they give us specific details?

They should...I always had a detailed bill that showed charges and pending credit (grants, loan, scholarship)

I just talked to the financial aid office and they said that they haven't sent out letters for any current students yet....

^^I think these are all incoming students

oh my bad. :D

folks! financial aid and stuff wont start rolling in until early august...

that debt is just a bill from your specific college's registrar to your bursar bill...financial aid then kicks in and then you owe the remaining balance!

(:

Well...in the past my Cornell grant money was credited to my account in July. Any loan money won't come in until August.

true most loans dont kick until the first day of class...

have all of those who did finAID sent in their verification sheet if asked to do so?

you wont get kicked out of cornell if you dont have your **** paid before the first day of class...just get it done by the end of august...

hey guys, i guess new FA info is now posted on jtf.cornell.edu. has anyone checked out theirs yet?

50,606.00? Estimated annual cost? It was like 54,000? 3,000 change is a lot. And I was offered far less. Anyone seen theirs?

also do we receive FA info on paper?

It should come in paper around the 19th, according to someone who called in to the Financial Aid office. Mine still hasn't been posted online (but the bursar keeps going up -- thanks for trying to crush my spirits, Cornell!).
