Alright, folks, what do you think I should expect?

My stats:

SAT I: 640Critical Reading, 640 Writing, 760 Math
SAT IIs: 690 Biology, 730 Chemistry, 740 US History
Rank: 4 out of 124
APs: AP Scholar ; by the end of the year, I'll have completed seven courses.
Bio-5, Chem-5, US History-5
Teacher Recs: I saw one of them and it was amazing. The other I was unable to see, but im sure it would rock your socks off.
Counselor Rec: I think it was pretty good, altough I didn't see it. My Counselor loves me.
Extracurriculars: Ive been in Student Council for four years, been everything from Vice-President to Treasurer. I've been in Operation Smile for four years as well. I'm currently the Vice-President of the club, and weve raised over 130,000 cordobas. Also I'm in United Hands, The Newspaper, Literary Magazine, Knowledge Bowl, been taking piano for six months, and Tennis my entire life.
Hook: I'm passionate about Science(I have a special relationship with Chemistry) and helping out.
Essays: I wrote one essay about how I conquered my fear of public speaking and stuttering. Some said it was really impacting and they cried. I thought it was strong, especially the introduction. I wrote another essay about how I want to mix my passions about Science and Engineering with my passion for helping my community.
Location: Managua, Nicaragua.
Other Thoughts: My nickname around school is Harry Potter.

Stats good except for that SATI score, which is quite low for HYP.

EC's are very good, but as for your passion for science, it doesn't seem like you have anything to back it up... science team/club? prizes? something?

no one except one or two really experienced people can give you ANY help on these boards.... Take it from me, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, hell even the local State U can be capricious. Just forget it, apply, and prey. Whatever happens, happens, posting here isnt going to change it. You tried your best these last 4 years and you should relish it, and like me you will be anxiously waiting for march 30th. I wasted soooo many hours on this board just to learn that Chances threads are stupid ESPECIALLY for HYPS. How can another anxious 17 year old tell you what a committe in New Haven will do???????????????????????????????

i agree with Biz17. chances threads are kind of pointless in the end because admissions to top-tier and even second-tier schools is so unpredictable and, dare I say it?, almost random. (i'm expecting quite a bit of negative responses to that)

anyway, i came here just to tell you that i love what you named this thread. so funny!

You expected negative responses, and you will get some lol

I agree that the college decisions often seem arbitrary at times, but that's only because we don't know everything the adcoms know. The colleges basically want to fill "quotas". They have so and so musicians, mathematicians, athletes, etc. etc. sometimes you're lucky enough to be selected as one of those selectyed to fill your respective quota, and sometimes you're not.

But, in short, just because you think a decision is random doesn't mean it is.
