Julian C. Stanley Study of Exceptional Talent

Did anyone qualify for the Julian C. Stanley Study of Exceptional Talent? If yes, did you include it on any college or scholarship applications? If yes, how did you word it? (e.g. Qualified for Julian C. Stanley Study of Exceptional Talent or Member of Julian C. Stanley Study of Exceptional Talent or ???) Also, did you make use of the letters of recommendation from SET? (FYI - The Study of Exceptional Talent (SET))

I didn’t-but the title caught my attention because I get a “Julian C. Stanley Presidential Scholarship” each semester. Funny.
Anyways, I would include it on apps. . Maybe Julian C. Stanley Study of Exceptional Talent Alumni? or JHU CTY Alumni ?

My son did. It actually never even occurred to me to suggest he use it, because it was so long ago. He did mention the CTY and EPGY summers he spent during high school, and I figured that more or less covered it. It’s an interesting question.

The people at SET urge us to mention this, but it may get crowded out by other things for a lot of SET participants. Worth mentioning, but not mission-critical if it gets crowded off the form. See the SET Alumni Homepage Directory

for interesting information about what earlier SET participants have done in college.
