Jumping over to the ACT

Hi guys! After preparing for the SAT for almost 2 years, and seeing my scores never improve, I decided to try an ACT test to see how I'll do. Since senior year starts in the fall, I basically have to decide now whether I want to do the ACT or SAT. (I know I know I should have decided this way back in sophomore year, but I didn't know better, and being an international, everyone told me that SATs were the only test that schools accepted) The thing is, I'm not really sure what a 'good' ACT score is? On the forum, the it ranges from 30-35 as good scores for competitive colleges? How does the score of 27 sound? It is really bad? (I'm sorry if I'm asking the obvious, but I'm just really confused D:)

My Score breakdown:
English: 27
Math: 30
Reading: 28
Science: 25
Composite: 27.5 so 28?

I took the test cold, and towards the end, I was getting frustrated at all the science questions! One thing I noticed was that the pacing of the ACT was so much quicker! I timed myself and this was how much time I have left to spare:

E: 16 mins to spare
M: 17 mins
R: 6 mins
S: 4 mins

A 27 is amazing and merit aid worthy at some scholarships, and won’t even get you considered for admissions at others. It depends where you want to go.

What were your SAT scores?

@‌exclamationdot you really think so?

My highest was only 2010 (yes terrible I know thinking about it makes me want to cry ;_:wink: My average is about 1870 ish ( I have taken about 15 practice tests to date and my scores just never go up!! )
