Hi! If I have not taken a previous physics course, would it be really challenging if I just jumped to AP physics? My school's honor program and AP program use the same textbook, so I was thinking maybe I should just jump to the AP? I consider myself to be pretty good at math. Thanks for reading! :)

I think you should jump to AP Physics B. (:

I’m taking honors physics (they call it Pre-AP where I live), and it’s really easy. Especially since they let you take either the honors or the AP and they use the same textbook, I’d say go for it! You can always drop down if you realize you can’t handle it. There’s no shame in that.

jump to AP

In my school I don’t think you’re allowed to take two years of physics. If you’re good at math (read: trig) Physics B will be a breeze.

If you’re good at math, I’d definitely say jump to AP.
Most kids at my school take honors chem before AP Physics- we don’t learn anything about physics until we take the class. I’m taking it this year and so far, it’s been challenging, but not insanely difficult (and I’m not even a math person!)
