@ Ivysaur. The reasoning may be too complicated, but there’s nothing in the passage to suggest that he felt burdened with restraints. lol we may just have to agree to disagree on that one.

What did you guys think about the prose fiction question that asked about the phrase “Got to get in shape,” or something like that? The answers were like "the father was addressing his children because… the father was addressing himself… "

i’m just going to say that the edison one was a horrible question. anyone want to agree with that?!?

sure there is. He was burdened with restraints because he was forced to punch the clock like everyone else. Not because HE WANTED to. The restraints made him look like the average person, not his own desire.

I put that the father was getting the children ready for preparation for something…but yea that’s what i put

@ photographer: yeah that one sucked! i was debated between the 2 addressed to the children, but i can’t remember which one i put. i was checking backwards and our procter took 5 minutes off our time! there were a few of us in the classroom who had calculated our ending time and whaddya know, FIVE minutes off!

long story short, i need the answer to this question too

I’m a junior.

to that one person who was asking.

@photo
Yeah. I was deciding between two answers on that one. I thought it was a weird question. It said something about him getting rusty or something with him giving the treats he cooked and told them stories and he commented on something.
Ugh… I can’t remember it very well, but I know what your talking about. If i saw the question word for word I would remember the answer choices. I remember deciding between two answer choices on that one.

it was that he was making up a reason about why he was making them food. I really like the passage…and I had read it earlier, so it was really easy for me.

^can you take a look at my post #65 and see if that’s the same thing we’re talking about?

My 36 composite is still looking strong. :)

The answer was in line 3, he was feeding his children treats to “get in shape” for the restaurant opening. I had to go back and re-read it a few times myself.

@fresh, yeah that’s what I’m talking about.

@nritya.
Do you remember the other answer choices? And why that was the answer?
Just trying to remember what I chose.

I thought he was feeding them to test out treats (for the store)?

@fresh, yeah that’s what I’m talking about.

so nritya is my answer right?

was an answer option for that one, “telling his kids stories” or something along those lines?

^i think that was a different question.

Thank god.

The “Gotta get in shape” question was what he said to himself to not be tempted to eat more sweets.
