Lol, about the physics question. I figured the one at the top of the hill was slowest, and I put the one at the top of the loop for the fastest b/c in the Simpson’s Movie Homer sped up to make it around the top of the sphere-thing. Lol, wow.

you sure???

“Thats what I believed also.. but ppl here are getting S as being slowest? I thought it was the fastest because point S was the first point after the hill.”
~uchicagolove<3

it asked to order the speed of the cart… when an object has complete potential energy as this one did at S, it has no velocity because KE = 0 and PE = total mech. energy… at T it would have had all KE, so highest velocity.. and at U it would have both.. and since mech energy is conserved in the absence of non-conservational forces, KE is lower than at T but higher than at S.. so S, U, T for increasing speed

I’m talking about the one about the Neanderthals… i swear i’ve read that passage before.. maybe something similar to it?

also by any chance do any of u have or know of any good programs for a TI 83 or 84 to ‘help’ with this test

Does anyone remember the question in the English section that was between “would have probably become” or “would have probably became”. I think I put “would have probable become.”

And also, I think it was the last question for the passage about the Korean grandma that loves football, regarding the last sentence of the passage. Something along the lines of:

“In that sense, she ______ typical football fan.” Which would NOT be acceptable?
A) held the place for
B) had the characteristics of
C) something something
D) follows the pattern of the

I was debating between A and D and I think I ultimately chose D because football fans don’t really have a “pattern” do they?

jake^.. quad formula, distance formula, and point slope intercept programs save time. they helped me on at least 5-6 questions that could have taken much longer

does anyone remember the question in science that was in the co2 consumptions passage asking if it was
a. 80,000 to 70,000 years
b. 50,000 to 40,000 years
c. something
d. 20,000 to 10,000 years

not really for the 83/84…an 89 would really help though. That’s where case-swapping comes in (putting an 89 in an 83/84 case)

thx a lot any others??

kMz: D is probably better. football fans don’t really have a pattern, yes, but A just doesn’t make any sense.

“held the place for” doesn’t make sense.. she was characteristic of one.. so B’s out.. C matched, so it was out.. and she follows the pattern of a typical football fan (yelling, criticizing players, etc)

held the place for just doesn’t fit at all i thought

is that what u did

Kmz-- I put A
crunkk-- I put C- I think

kz, is that what u did? put 89 in 83/84 cover

I will as soon as I figure out how to dismantle the internals of both my calcs :D

[How to Make a Frankinstein 89 Graphing Calculator from a Ti 83 & Ti 89 - wikiHow](http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Frankinstein-89-Graphing-Calculator-from-a-Ti-83-&-Ti-89)

kMz - i put held the place for… the others aren’t what i would say in conversation, but make sense grammatically and don’t change the meaning of the sentence, as A does

and would have probably become is correct… one would not say “the man i have became,” but rather, “the man i have become”

does anyone remember the answers to the first reading passage? --the guy and the beach one… the prose fiction one… there were 3 on that one that i was a bit iffy on.. and the rest of the reading from then on out was pretty decent, so I think i’m fine on the other three passages.

what was the answer to the question with behold as a choice? the other choice was like keep watch over.. i put keep watch over as the answer because to me it made no sense.

i put behold =</p>
