June 14th ACT ****************************

I think it was definitely upgrading. That didn’t make any sense.

i think it was “upgrade”

The colleges will consider which ever one looks better.

They’ll either see a 34 with a 7 or a 33 with a 10.

They won’t consider both. Sorry. but that’s still good enough for every single college

I felt it was way easier than April’s, but I worked until the last minute on the math, and probably got a 30 or lower, lol.

I had like 10 minutes after the science, which was surprising. I took the ACT to raise it, so hopefully I did!

stimulate was wrong i think

crap, i put improve. Imo, improve didn’t make any sense…
Edit: we should discuss this question more, there seems to be many varying opinions.

upgrade was the answer.. it was least acceptable

i was against lawmakers limiting advertisements and said that the companies can advertise their products all they want.. it’s the consumer’s job to make sure he/she recognizes the “potential harm” and tries to avoid it

ACT Reading - My answers (not necessarily the correct ones)

Harriet Tubman

unsure about her birth date

help the northern war effort

her popularity obscures who the real individual is

her complexity still eludes us, but this book will help

coauthored (the book)

undesirable (the conjectures)

she was a spy and teacher

9.
0.

 5. social something (about how they cared)
 6. used to only study anatomy
 7. to argue that they were successful
 8. accomplished meant skilled? i think that was a choice..

0.

improve made the most sense in context.

I think it said she was a spy and teacher, and the lecture circuit was not mentioned

to ace 22. In the Harriet Tubman passage, it specifically mentioned that she was a spy and a teacher. I don’t remember the right answer though.

i totally didn’t see the “coauthored” choice for the harriet tubman one.. crap!

Spy and teacher was the answer because it happened AFTER the onset of the civil war… the question asked for her roles BEFORE the war began.. and teacher/spy was during.. so that’s the answer.. the other 3 happened before the onset of the war

cgman, I think the question asked about before the civil war though…?

She was a spy and teacher DURING THE CIVIL WAR.

She didn’t do it before the civil war. and that’s what the question was asking.

she was a spy and teacher DURING the civil war. the question asked what she did BEFORE the civil war . so i put spy and teacher. i could have read wrong though lol

Sorry I put that! I thought the question was asking what she did and I know it said spy and teacher..my bad!

yup, that’s right, akittka

yeah i almost didn’t put teacher/spy until i noticed it was during the war.. the ACT people love thier traps…

haha. you guys are probably right. I might’ve missed that.

I got the first harriet tubman one wrong. I put that they were unsure of her death becuase it wasnt mentioned at all. I was split between that and her birth because it said during the 1820s or something. I should have put her birth…

What was the answer to the math problem where the answer choices were like 19, 21, 27 and it had to do with buying something for 65 cents?

What was the answer to the one where the answer choices were like 45sin35
and sin35/45 adn answers like that?

what was the answer to the one where the 10 by 8 inch thing was decrease by 80 percent a bunch of times?
