June 14th ACT ****************************

One question in the English test was about “Whose” and “Who’s”

Anybody remember which one is correct? I had a brain fart and put “Who’s”. I think now the answer was “Whose” though.

because the line PQ consisted of the two radii joined together, and they overlapped by 2.. 12 + 9 - 2 = 19 (which was D.. the second to last one.. D or J)

it’s whose

lol that passage convinced me to change my strategy.

At first I was plannigng to skim each passage first but then I looked at the questions and was like, wow I can just search the passages for answers

its whose. who’s=who is, which doesnt fit in the passage.

center of the circle. completing the square?? i know i got the right answer bt i can’t remember exactly what it was.

“wasn it like 3, -2 or the circle?”
yeah, i believe so.. after i completed the square i think (3,-2) was what i got b/c it was (x-3)^2 + (y+2)^2

i do a very fast read of it, and i don’t slow down at all if i miss a sentence or a word or two.. i just blitz right through it, and on every passage i was able to answer about 3 or 4 of the 10 before re-referring to the passage

wasn it like 3, -2 or the circle?

math was easy. idk which one ur talking about akittka

Was 2.5 an answer the a math problem? It was asking for the length of a segment

ah yes (3,-2) i believe. fun problem.

yeah it was 2.5 AD- segment

yes its 2.5 ace 22 tennis

i dont remember getting 2.5 for a math choice.

larson’s first book / coauthored? anyone? i chose larson’s first book.

yes.. on the 3, 4, 5 triangle one.. it asked for the length between a midpoint and the endpoint on the 5 length (you had to find 5.. but 3, 4… triples – 3,4,5… 5,12,13.. etc..)

so 5/2 = 2.5

does someone want to create a chatroom cuz its easier?

For the geometry question asking which statement you can assume to be true (the answer was that the triangles were similar), was the letter choice D or E?

it either went
D. Triangles are congruent
E. Triangles are similar

or

D. Triangles are similar
E. Triangles are congruent

also, for the 1st reading passage, wat was the definition of “lightness”?

oh yeah, i had a time trouble on the past passage on science and had to to some logical guessing based on what i know from ap chem and ap physics (mainly chem)… can anyone remember the last 5 or 6 answers to the science test?

i think the triangles are similar choice was the last one (E)

it was E.they are similar

is it true that -1 will get u right to a 34?!?!?!?! i know it was on april’s, but was april’s reading passages way easier or wat?!
