June 18th Orientation

Anyone going?
(:

This Friday. Very excited.
What goes on for most of the day?

You’ve already experienced it, but I will post here for people interested in what happens at orientation.

Orientation = a lot of sitting.

I’m not sure if they changed it since I went through orientation, but there were a billion or so presentations, most of which students probably could care less about. There was a presentation from the police department letting us know there were rattle snakes in the adjacent area…yeah…

The only important part of orientation, IMO, is registering for classes. I’d suggest getting CORE out of the way as soon as possible.

Things to bring:

 • a jacket. they had the AC turned up so high during my orientation that i was freezing to death.
 • bottled water. those presentations last for days.
 • a positive attitude. you’re all in the same boat now, so might as well make this experience as friendly as possible.

Haha, fusionall, you’ve hit every point perfectly.

It was freezing! But I loved it, and the registration was easy and great. I met so many friends. I’m quite good at it, if I do say so myself.

So I should take CORE first semester?

HaHaHa…great post!
