June 2 US History

I think it was textiles because of like the lowell factory movement and industrialization. Btw, i doubt it was soap b/c i have never seen anythin about soap in any history textbook/reviebook while textiles are very important. I have found that generally if u have no idea wat the answer is to a question it will usually be the choice with the most historical significance. This makes sense b/c ETS is more likely to ask about a topic like textiles than soap.

One, u beat me to it but yea...textiles

I initially thought textiles too, but then I very specifically remembered learning that people stopped making soap at home. I'm going to try to find it in my textbook now.

Textiles?? I thought the Lowell thing was during the Progressive era, and the girls were replaced by immigrants in the 1930s.

What was the answer to the last questions, about the silent springs?

^ the one about pesticides

Silent Spring talked about the dangers of pesticides.

The same question was on the AP in May.

Random note: the [SAT 2] Kaplan book was sooo clutch for this exam.

haha i put soap too

wow i really need a 680+

do you send which scores you want to send to colleges or will they see them all? i dunno if i should cancel... i got a 730 on th may ush sat2... but if i can choose which to send. id just not cancel to see what i got just out of curiosity

Why did you retake it if you got 730?? freak...lol...

I'm pretty sure colleges will see both grades.

What did you guys put for a quote, something about 13th Amendent, and which of the following acts reversed that Amendment?

^ the quote was actually about a supreme court case (plessy v ferguson; separate but equal facilities), and Brown v. Board of Education reversed it.

Are You sure?

I think OrchidThief is right. The quote was saying that segregation was totally acceptable and equal.

Nader = consumer rights.
"Silent majority" = support of the war in vietnam.

ilovesoftball are u sure abotu those? can anyone confirm these answers???

was it textiles or soap for the problem with out of the household???

i put textiles...i saw someone said soap here :(

only one person said soap but i think she might be crazy. Its definitely textiles. Just think about it this way, y woudl they ask us about soap??

I put clothing..I don't think it's soap.

What was the one about Wilson's fourteen points? self-determination?
