i wouldn't be suprised if 2 wrong on this test would be like a 760 or 770. it seemed like one of the easier math tests.

Ugh..I don't even think I want to see my scores anymore in that case.

"can someone sort of predict my score?

critical reading: missed around 3-5
math-missed 8, 4 of which are omits
writing- missed around 3-5

thanks in advance."

if critical reading you missed 5, you'd get a 730 if 4 750 if 3 760

Math if you got 4 wrong and 4 omitted you'd get 690

Writing missed 5 with essay 8: 660
Writing missed 4 with essay 8: 670
writing missed 3 with essay 8: 700

Writing missed 5 with essay 10: 700
Writing missed 4 with essay 10: 710
writing missed 3 with essay 10: 730

Writing missed 5 with essay 12: 730
Writing missed 4 with essay 12: 740
writing missed 3 with essay 12: 760

hope that helps. These scores are based on the January SAT test

I posted this in the official june 3rd thread but nobody answered...

okay so when i read the essay prompt i completely skimmed over the word "technological" and based my essay around ways that progress can cause people to overlook important things, and not how technnological progress in society causes that (which apparently was the actual prompt). do you think that is going to kill my score if my essay was well written? I'm really nervous that they are going to consider it an off topic essay and give me a zero!

wait so did you talk about the technological part in you whole essay or no?

Probably not a zero because it wasn't completely off topic, but maybe a 4 or 5... But then again in my SAT prep class they told us that on average the reader takes 30 seconds to skim your essay, so maybe they won't even notice :)

nope i didnt talk about the technological part at ALL. i talked a little bit about chinese industrialization, which MIGHT be conisidered technological? But my other paragraph was about a character in a book.

.. cancel ur score.

Uhh...well you might at least get some points. I doubt they would give you a 0 if you were 'somewhat' on the topic.

umm - - i guess you will get 2 / 12 - - this is what happen when you get a good writing but out of the topic 2 -- > sometimes mean the effort score - - i guess it is bad -- > may be cancel your score is a good choice . i hope you won't do the same later

no you wont get a 0. AS long as it was well written and and was about technology you'd get a 4. The essay topic was broad. IT asked whether progress helped or improved our lives etc...

Hahahaha....

for technology, i talked about our sewage systems and water systems...

and how we dump them into rivers for convenience but are destroying our environment at the same time..

It makes me laugh now that I think about what I wrote. Makes sense, though.

I live on the Ohio River, which means "Beautiful River" but its like all brown and disgusting with feces floating around.

why do you guys consider math easy, I found it hard since i missed 2-3

Lol..I probably missed at least 10 but I really did not think it was hard..It was just different.

ya really, just because we say it was easy doesnt mean we did well...

cr easy
writing easy
math hard

How was CR easy? It was MUCH harder then Aprils. Math was beyond easy, and i suck at math.

Compared to April's test, I thought the math was significantly harder (I breezed through April's, got 2 wrong, and a 770 -_-), esp. to get the 800 I'm aiming for. CR and vocab was much easier, and writing, I can't judge but maybe a tad easier?

cr- easy (but i read a lot lol. ive noticed this helps)
math- much easier than aprils
writing- medium-hard

Does anyone know which math section didn't count?
