was the correct answer to that question "china enter the war"? May be I remember wrong

No, because China did enter the Korean War on the side of N. Korea.

Regarding the Army question to put this to rest.

The USSR did lose the most men in WWII, but they also had the largest army by far. They still had upwards of 2 millino soldiers by the wars end.

ICBM's were not developed until the 50's. And Russia did not have the ability to hit America with any missile until after the launch of Sputnik.

The first nuclear sub was the American Nautilus in the 50's.

The American technology was far superior to that of the USSR at wars end. We were the only ones with the nuke at wars end.

And don't forget about the IRON CURTAIN. Churchill and the america alike feared the soviet army that was enveloping eastern europe in an iron curtain.

The answer is Army without a question.

thanks antarctic, though i know some people will continue to fight that one.

now on to madison...jackson

personally i think it's madison. why does madison hate the majority, as some people say on this board? He was a federalist!

billsfan--I believe the question you're talking about included a quote regarding how a tyranny of the majority would be impossible in a democratic system. Therefore, it would be Madison.

if you read the quote i found on the previous page, you would find the answer to be madison.

we talked about the native american question just recently. they didn't move west in large numbers in the 1600s, but they did engage in fur trade with British colonies (see hudson bay company).

anyone remember any other answer choices for this question: 31. least likely to support Manifest destiny- NE abolitionists

and this: 38. US tried to stop Soviet influence EXCEPT- UN charter

66 is definitely view of property. the gender roles thing was that there were gender roles, or tasks were divided, not how they were divided. native americans definitely had specified jobs for men and women. the property thing is obvious- indians didn't understand how the Europeans "owned" the land. Quote from my AP US textbook: "The societies of North America tended to divide tasks according to gender. All tribes assigned women the jobs of caring for children, preparing meals, and gathering certain foods."

I didnt correct the answers, I jus reposted with the added questions. You guys can go and correct the answers if u want.

I see the case about Madison, but, Idk. Part of me still thinks Jackson because when I read that quote I immediately thought about his stuff with the Cherokees and defiance but I know that's completely off. It's just one question, so whatev's.

alright, for 66, it is gender roles. The questions asked what the two groups had in common. And gender roles was it...they did not have views of property in common, nor anything else listed in the answers.

i think you're right

what's a raw of 75 going to land me?

around 770?

Are you sure 66 said what they had in common?

Because remember it as what was a difference, and I put property views.

66 was an EXCEPT question. Since they had different view of property, the property is the answer.

I put that too. It was definitely an except question.

Yeah, I think I remember the except part. Property was the right answer.
