June 2006 - US History

its okay ranks... you could get a decent amount wrong and still get an 800...

nice. do you guys remember the answer about the korean war...i think it was one of those "EXCEPT" questions...

yea something about Soviet union and U.S. i think

I wasnt sure of that one Ranks (about difference between great society and new deal)- I forget the answer choices

Well I looked it up and it was Cambodia, I'm just mad because if i was there that day there's no way i would have missed that.

The korean war was the answer to the one about which choice did the least to curb Soviet Union power.

Edit: thought you were talking about kent state

edit2: I put encouraging the arts...because i didn't think FDR/American people amid the great depression gave a hoot about art, unless you count movies.

I put something about legislaton for African Americans - for the new deal great society parallel one.

For the except question that was like US tried to stop Soviet influence with all of the following I put United Nations.

I got the same answers, gxing.

No, the answer was signing the UN charter.

Gxing, I got that one too(for the newdeal/greatsociety)- Thanks for reminding me.

i put United Nations as well.. but it was kinda a guess

oh damn read it wrong

The Hudson School was a group of painters right?

for the Black cabnet? its in my Kaplan book

For the one where they gave a quote- it talked about how majority rule would not lead to chaos- I said it most likely would have been supported by Jackson

Tammany Hall was spoils system ??

"President Roosevelt formed a "black Cabinet" of advisers and in 1941 issued an executive order banning discrimation in government jobs. African Americans switched their allegiance from the republican party(the party of Lincoln) to the democratic party"

p. 267

Hmmm, I see it..then what did you put?

I guessed Arts because I thought arts could not have been that important to FDR during the great depression.

tammany = i put primary election, i didnt pick spoils cuz that was jackson etc.. I DONT KNOW IM SCARED >< and i put U.N. charter as well

Someone answer my questions?

~ Horatio Alger question? Was the answer about
~ Who would be least likely to support Manifest destiny?
~ Stupid land plots one (the diagram/picture)
~ 1932 Non-recognition thing? What event sparked it?

i put that too ranks (same reasoning) ...thts wrong?
