June 2008 Math Level I

I got two points and 10.6

I am 100% sure the answer for the two parabolas was 10.6; I just used my calculator and remember the two (lowest and highest points) were -4 and 6.6.

If I'm thinking of the same triangle problem as everyone else is, i'm pretty sure you had enough information to conclude that the smaller of the two right triangles was a 30-60-90 triangle, thus giving you enough information to solve for the remaining lengths and angles of the larger triangle. In terms of an a numerical answer, i'm not exactly sure, but 20 sounds about right

Does anybody remember the question where it gave u coordinate table of f(x) and g(x) and it asked you something like: solve for x when f(-1)= f(x)

I'm pretty sure I circled E for that one, and I remember that the two answers both met at point 5?

(Maybe question #34?) There was another one (maybe already mentioned) where it gave u an equation with variables in it and i think you were supposed to fill in those variables with numbers. Anyway when I did, I got a parabola that looked normal, quadrant I, so I just cirlcled the parabola that looked like that (it was answer choice B)

And I said "mode" too

answer was -7? or

thats what I said

Ya, I think it was -7 because they both had the common x of 5

predict my score 4 wrong 2 omit

730- because I don't think there will be any curve for this test

BJamin:

Did you pick the parabola that looked like this?

http://people.richland.edu/james/lecture/m116/conics/parabola2.gif

and that triangle one you all are talking about was it problem # 45 Or higher? What number was it?

^^^

Theres a chance we're talking about 2 different problems on the test, but i remember choosing a parabola that was in the first quadrant, and looked like a regular parabola (it wasnt sideways like the one u sent on the link) I dno i remember it made sense when I was taking the test.

Does anyone remember questions 49 and 50 on the test? i remember 47 and 48 being tricky but i think i got the last two.

Does anybody know the answer to this question?

There was a line y=2x and circle radius 1 and it asked wat xy equaled

^ for that question there was X^2 + y^2 = 1 and y = 2x , I marked 0.40 it's not -0.4 because if x is positive y is positive too, and vice versa. so xy has is positive. Am I right, guys :S

I also marked 0.40.

Yeah thats the right answer but i dont remember that question. What question was it around? High 40? 30?

Thanks..i got .40 also

Anybody remember any other questions that haven't been talked about?

780 in Math level 1 and 780 in Math level 2.
Which one is the best? 'coz that score in level 1 means 49 and level 2, abt 41.
Will I be in a disadvantageous position doing level 1 and getting that score?
