Lol not that anyone cares, but I agree with all of those except a few on the amazon passage

aw, thanks :)

lol now that you remind me, im not sure what i put for the amazon passage now.

what was the other choices for the answer the town has not genuinely progressed? I don’tremember what i put but i couldve swore progressed was in the answer i put. oh and what was the question to there are gaping holes?

and rt grove i agree with you about the growing population, however if you read the paragraph from that link again, you will notice that most of the paragraph is about how attempts at urnbanization has failed due to credit, health care and what not. and then they proceed to say that the gomez organization is what brings them hope, signifying is importance.

AcLuo-

I just read it again and still disagree. I mean the first sentence of the paragraph stated that “few ppl know that the Amazon quickly urbanizing areas in the world.” Then, the passage continues to show that high populations has caused disease and many problems. Then it finally alludes to the organization however it does not explicitly state its importance. Rather, that paragraph was supposed to, in my opinion, underscore that the amazon has high populations and is urbanized. Later, on the next few paragraphs, it shows/emphasizes the importance of the organizaton. Lastly, the 2nd paragraph question I think had an answer choice that said that the main idea was to show that the amazon was urbanizing and increasing in population and I mean you really cant argue that that was the whole idea of this paragraph.

rt grove you are probably right, its just that i honestly don’t remember which one I put down as my answer, but when i read it both of them make sense. oh and do you possibly know the answers to my previous post?

I remember another philosopher question!

The author mentions the Top 20 drummers and that magazine because?

I put something like that was what he was focusing on at that time in his life, do you guys remember this one?

Oh and do you guys remember the amazon one where it was like in order to believe in the authors thesis, you would have to believe?

I put something along the lines of not all urban groups are bad or something.

AcLuo-

Both answers made sense in my opinion. I just think mine was a more direct answer than the other reasonable choice, which required more interpretation.

Regarding your other questions-

He mentioned the magazine and top 20 drummers to emphasize his passion for drumming/music that he was focusing on at that time of his life…so ya I got what you got.

Sounds like what I had for that philosopher question.

yep, do you remember what youput for the amazon thesis one? it was the first question in the passage.

and does anyone know the question to the gaping holes answer? for the eels

Gaping holes… might have been something about the main idea of the passage. Not sure, but I do remember putting gaping holes for the answer.

For the amazon one…the question asked like what assumption did you have to adopt to accept the authors thesis and I am not sure what I put because I do not remember the answer choices.

instead of balesemi azame
do u mean Aniba Canellila

“Today,Brosimum rubescens is substituted for rosewood,Aniba
canellila for ebony, and Protium species for Brazilian mahogany
and cedar”

yes that was it, i put some urbanization groups can actually be helpful or something like that, and it was because they described how other urban groups failed and the gomez one brought them hope. does that maybe ring a bell?

and for the gaping holes one, didn’t it mean that there was a lot about eels that scientists didn’t know? but i cant remember the other answer choices

I vaguely (and I mean REALLY vaguely) remember putting something about urbanization and depletion of rural industry in the amazon having a detrimental affect on the Amazon

yes that was one of the choices i believe, hmm now im confused again

what was the answer to the osmosis question?
