June 2009 ACT Reading Discussion

shallow to deeper waters

do you know what the choices were?

im not sure if i choose shallow to deep or maybe (river to sea?)

i dont recall but i am however 100% sure that that was the answer, river to sea might have been too, but that would just mean that only one of those was there, but they are the same thing.

was there an answer that was something like there are gaping holes in the information they have?

yeah that was the fist question on the eels, dont remember all the choices though

thanks i know for a fact i choose gaping holes so no worries

instead of balesemi azame
do u mean Aniba Canellila

“Today,Brosimum rubescens is substituted for rosewood,Aniba
canellila for ebony, and Protium species for Brazilian mahogany
and cedar”

hmm do you remember the question or any other choices for the gaping holes?

mabs, ya it was that wood i think. not the random wood i made up lol

in regard to the top 20 and melody maker. i think the answer had the word focus in it.

gaping hole question had “present new information to us” or something like that and another was “say that they have learned everything possible”

tbonus do you remember what the question was? or at least what the answer gaping hole means?

At the end of the prose were there a lot of c’s? I had to guess on 3-4.

Yeah, I guessed C on 5 of the 10 questions about the eels. Hopefully there were a lot of C’s because those are the only ones I am unsure about.

It was the Aniba one…
I remember reading it over

and did anyone find the story online for that one or the eel one?

i remember thinking between gloomy, tense, and fascination and another answer choice and picking the other one…the philosopher guy was certainly fascinated but in no way gloomy…does anyone remember answer choices there?

The image presented was definitely gloomy, it talked about the gray sky and some other stuff.

Hey not to keep asking this question, but does anyone remember wat the answer choices for the “Why the author used the words ‘certified woods’ in the Amazon passage?”
