Hmm not sure then…
if you guys are right and it said “Were they to be told” then ya thats right…stupid mistake on my part. But that was one of two I didnt know and if I got a 11/12 on the essay then thats still like a 770 right?

ya u should be solid

Answer choice A said “Were they to be told.” I remember debating between this and one of the other answer choices which had an ambiguous “it.” I’m about 80% sure A is right.

If I get all the multiple choice right but a 10 essay, is that enough for an 800?

https://satonlinecourse.collegeboard.com/SR/digital_assets/pdfs/eri/scoring_2008-2009.pdf

do you guys remember the one that was like:
she had a great interest and respect for…
I changed it to a great interest IN and respect for…
was that wrong?

i think common consensus is that you had to have the “in,” so you are correct

yay! and what about the last question? was it A or E? I went with E but it looks like everyone was saying that it should be A because however doesn’t work…

A for 13 and 14

Also what did you guys put for the question about the olympic swimmer winning 7 medals?

I put the answer that started with “winning”

hmm I was between putting winning at the end with a comma or with by

i loved the essay topic!

But I believe I put what you said Be
(Figures crossed…I REALLY wanna break 2300 on this test = D)

I looked at the essay and said, “ARE YOU SERIOUS?”
First time I take the SAT, and I get the perfect topic.

“were they to be told”

I really think this is wrong because it has “to be” which the SAT hates.

(atleast i think the SAT hates that phrase)

A friend of mine got every MC right on the entire test, got an 8 on the essay, and got a 2390.

So most likely not.

Also, does anybody remember if the sentence with “his or her violent family” was family or families?

And did that same sentence say “the attempts of the young protagonist” or protagonists?

Esplin-

I hope your right, but A was probably the answer unfortunately.

-Guys so on the swimmer question did everyone put the answer that said “,winning 7 gold medals”

Rt- that’s what I had

It was smething like… Mark spitz was the studmuffin of the olympics, winning seven gold medals.

You guys remember the one that went like… There’s a test on subjects as such, communication…

Was there a comma or ; it was number 7 on 10 min. Section.

yea i put the , winning seven gold medeals

the communication one was the one that had everything listed without the “in communication” and with the correct comma placement.

The last one is NEITHER A nor E. Its B.

How can

“If they would have been told, they might not have responded spontaneiously” be wrong??

A is wrong because its worded backwords (no one starts a CE with “were they…”)

also E is wrong, it was more than “By telling them”, it was “By telling them of ITS purpose” and ITS was ambigious.

I’m not sure if thats exactly how the answer choices were worded
