June 2009 testers!

My goal is a 32 but I think a 28 is more realistic. :)

I’m trying for at least a 30. It’s my first time taking the test, and I’m definitely studying for it. I need to make up for my miserable SAT score.

I need to make myself work at speed though. The actual content I’m not worried about.

Kinda miffed about having to go to a school an hour away in the middle of a city though…I’m afraid it might be in a bad part of town, but I wasn’t ready to take it earlier…><

i want to get it higher than my previous score of 21 im looking to jump 5 maybe 6 points
i want to end up with a 30
can anyone tell me how to raise my low score???

I want to get at least a 30 (threshold).

i’m in june too… got a 33 composite, hope to get a 36. c’est possible?

Hoping for a 35 - need to raise science which has killed me the past two times (26)

Anonymous guy: The combined English/writing score DOESN’T MATTER. At all. It is by far the least important subscore on the test, and colleges don’t exactly have buckets of time to analyze your subscores anyways.

It would be a complete waste of time and money to retake the ACT. You did PHENOMENALLY!!!

31 is my highest so far, I’m just hoping for a 32.

Jeez, people are perfectionists. I’ll just settle with my 30. I’m sick of tests.

I want a 30, and got a 29 in April. I need 3 points to go up to a 30, and I hope to get those 3 points by improving my science score (26!).

Going for 32 or 33 from a 31.

English: 28
Math: 32
Reading 32
Science 30
Essay: 10
Combined English: 28

Wth, how do I fix my English score. My essay was pretty good… but my English was lame. Hoping for a higher science and math as well.

ahhh trying to go for atleast a 30 -_-

I just really want a 32, and i’m pretty sure i can do it. i’m fine with my english score, but my reading…i got a 35 the first time i took the ACT, but with state testing i was down to a 31! and reading is usually my best section on any standardized test. so maybe i had an off day? so i’m aiming to get that up. my math and science are what i really need to work on but i think those are things you can improve with a little studying. so i better hit the books!

oh shizzle, for english it’s really easy to improve your score

 1. review grammatical rules (princeton review ACT is good for that)
 2. take a whole bunch of practice tests and observe the patterns. you have to be able to recognized the concepts that the question addresses

i started off with a 29 in english. i studied for 2 days and got a 34, far exceeding my expectations. you’ll be fine

My goal is a 29 from a 27.

Only a couple of weeks!

I seriously have to get a 36 on this ACT since I failed the SAT epically.

23 days.

First time taking it and last time probably. Really shooting for:

English: 34
Math: 36
Science: 34
Reading: 32

but i probably will get significantly lower… haha shootin highh

I am unable to improve my score barelely. This is quite depressing, because I was aiming for a 28, since I want to attend an Academy. Hopefully the 4th time is the charm in June. Any tips on improving? I have a study book, and methodtestprep.com I have been looking through.
