My goal is a 30. Hopefully this will be my last time taking it.
I wne t from a 28 to a 29 last time, so maybe i can continue the trend. :)

I need a blasted 34+ on this oneā¦

I went from a 26 down to a 25, and this time Iām hoping for a 29 at least and a 30 would be ideal.

Anyone have any tips for science? On practice tests Iām getting 34+ on math, English, and reading⦠but on the stupid science section I get in the mid 20s, even after doing 3 or 4 practice science sections.

Blinkrocker4life: I will do that.

Charlie Brown: Wow, we really are on the same threadsā¦

Jamiroquai: For science read at read the little intro things first, look at the questions, then look at the graphs and answer. For the passage, read it all and then answer. Thatās what I did and improved 2 points.

My goal

English- 30
Math- 34
Reading- 34
Science- 32

lol we really are! In addition to taking overlapping SAT 2ās we have pretty similar composite ACT scores.

English: 33
Reading: 28
Math: 31
Science: 31
Composite: 31
Writing: 10

i really want to get to at least a 33. i really want to go to Brown and i need to get my reading up and hopefully my math since i didnāt have it when i took the test. I might get my english up too. my school works with trimesters and i wasnt learning english or math during the test.

if i dont get a 33 im retaking it in september. and repeatedly until i get my score

lol same here. I got the same composite as you, but Iām not sure if I can pull a 2 point increase. English is my worst- even though my essay was pretty goodā¦:S

You have like 4 chances left.

I had C 28 in April
English - 28
Math - 36
Reading - 20
Science - 29

June Goal:
English -35
Math - 36
Reading -33
Science - 34

Does anyone think this is obtainable?

I havenāt taken it for real yet, but Iāve done the three practice tests from the ACT book and have gotten scores of 32, 33, and 34 (nice progression right) on these tests⦠I really really want a 34 on the ACT just so I donāt have to take it again. Lower than a 33 = retake for me, sadlyā¦

Iām guessing/hoping this is what Iāll get:

English: 36 (got that on all the tests Iāve done)
Math: 31-33
Reading: 35-36
Science: 31-33

I now just need to get my math and science scores into the 30s, and I would like to bump English/reading to at least a 32. Itās possible!

Iām officially screwed. I got a 21, 22 and this will be my third time retaking. BTW Iāll be a senior in September. I get to take the ACT the day after Final Exams. All of you guys on this thread are overachievers. I wish someone could take the test for me so I at least could get a 30. I wonder if Iāll even get into Michigan State or University Michigan (funny story my brother got into U of M with a 23 and basically the same credentials as me)

I hate the science section. I am so going to study like no tomorrow for the ACT. SAT is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000x better.

Iād be so happy if I got a 34 someday, but even 32 looks like it will be tough. I have a brain deficiency in which I canāt do well on standardized tests.

Also, anyone know how the Writing effects your score? I read that it doesnāt effect your composite. Which sucks b/c thatās the only part of English Iām good at.

How are you all studying this week?

Oh, and weird story. My friend got a 36 on the reading section and a composite of 32, and the second time reading went down to 32 while the other went up.

My composite was 31, too. Hope my second score will be better (like 34!)

first time taking it, hoping for a 34+!!!
although that might be shooting to high
english will improve to 33-ish hopefully and luck on test day
math is always 36 for me
readingā¦need luck and ultra-fast reading miracle to save me, otherwise probably a 30
science probably a 34-ish

April ACT:
E 36
R 35
M 29
S 29

C 32

Gonna actually study this timeā¦34? ā¦35??? :-

shooting for 34.

Itās really hard moving up more than 1 point. Personal experience plus other peopleās experience.

Moving up more than one point after taking it once, or what? Second time I took it, I automatically moved up at least two points in everything.
