June 2010 ACT Results

What schools may I look at with a 34?

just so everyone knows, a composite score of 32 or above puts you in 99th percentile, so DO NOT be disappointed with any of these scores!!! I know that most of us are high achievers here, but really, stop asking which schools you can get into with a specific ACT score…it’s just not possible to say. You can get into any ivy league school with a 31 ACT for example. IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT THE TEST SCORES. That said…

I got a composite of 34:
English: 35
Math: 34
Reading: 34
Science: 32

And yes, I know I personally could have done better on math and science for example, but I am satisfied with a 34!!!

^Seriously? Any school.

^ANY schools i guess. If a 32 puts me in the running, a 34 will make you COMPETITIVE.

Even the Ivy League schools? I want to apply to Yale Early Action.

Is a 28 a horrible score? First time.

Im actually really disappointed with my 32. I want to be done. The program i had in mind requires a 33 to apply, so I was shooting for a 34 to be competetive. 29 on math ****************.

@nicolenhs: No, that’s a great score! My friend made a 27 his first time and by his fourth time he made a 33.

I went back through the scores, and i’m pretty sure no one got a 36 on the english.

Scratch that, two people got 36s in English.

nicolenhs- of course not! 28 is a great score for your first time. With practice, you could surely get that up to a high 30.

alihaq717- Something’s up with the English section. I could’ve sworn I got a 35 but got a 33. That was such an easy test; I don’t know what happened.

Is anyone else having trouble getting their scores . We are from NJ.Where do you look?

■■■, I know that this sounds silly/petty/stupid/all of the above, but I’m actually really upset with my score, not because it’s bad, but because I was a mere point away from getting a 35:
comp: 34
E - 33 M - 35 R - 33 S - 36
■■■

Puggly: Did you corroborate your answers with the thread that was made?

And for those getting 36s in science, do you think it’s possible that you missed one question?

Just saying… I got a 36 on science and i chose N2 for the question whose answer was O2 (or so CC came to the conclusion about lol). So I’d guess science was -1 ?

I put O2 and got a 36. Maybe it was a +1 curve?

Holy that’s awesome! Yes that would be amazing if there was a -1 36 curve.

Also there was a question about soil and how it affects plants. The choices were lack of soil/lack of plants and because of the soil and because of the plants and it was one of those answers. What was the answer to that question?

composite: 33
english: 31
math: 34
reading: 33
science: 32

done with testing!!!

lameeeeeee
