I’m taking a biology class during the summer at a community college
and i am planning on taking the bio sat II on october.
is the test difficult?
any opinions??

I took m and i thought it was not bad…

what did people think about the test?

I took the bio M and thought it was quite hard. Does anyone remember any of the questions

I thought E was easier than M. I did both then just erased M.

I don’t think the test was that bad. I think I got 700+. There were a couple things that threw me off; the diagram of the stem, and the lab questions about lime water. I also thought that E was easier

the first part was really really annoying, like the whole cephalothorax and abdomen(scorpion i thought) and tube feet(sea star) and im hoping crayfish was gills and butterfly had a head with antennae.

what did you guys get for the plant stem one and the limewater one?

@yeolgong: It really depends on the level of class and the professor. I had a similar situation. You may have to do a lot of self-studying, depending on how much info your class covers. But it will definitely help.

The test is a lot of memorization and studying. It depends on how much you study and how much time you put in (unless you’re one of those people who automatically remember anything you read). I - along with just about everyone here on CC - recommend Barron’s and Princeton Review. I have taken the Bio SAT II three times (last time on Sat) and found that pure memorization was the key to (hopefully) getting 750+. Good luck!

@sillynilly: I got all the same answers as you and they seem to be correct according to the compiled list on the other threads.

I took E, I thought it was easier than M (although I just glanced quickly over M). I thought it was alright. I made a couple dumb mistakes that I’m annoyed about in hindsight. I knew the info and they were so easy/obvious. But anyhow, that’s past now. Good luck everyone! I hope you all do well.

are you allowed to take e and m on the same test day?

I learned that taking 3 Subject Tests in one day made me so bored… I did HORRIBLE on the SAT Bio E. I’m really good at Biology, but I was stupid and decided to make that my last SAT test and I was so tired of testing that I guessed on almost all of them because I wanted it to be over haha. I might take it again, but I really do not want to take anymore tests. I had 7 in 2 months. I took the AP Biology and I am pretty confident (kind of). The only thing I am scared of is the 1st essay!

@lewiskim: No, you’re not allowed to take both E and M on the same test date.
