June 2010: Biology

^i don’t see why it would unless the test was extremely easy, which it was not. I realize now how much my AP BIO class really does SUCK. I mean, sure we covered the basics and went in depth, but we never finished the ecology portion, or started it lol. Also, we never specifiically learned about pancreatic hormones, endocrine system, etc. We did cover plant structure but she taught it in a way that was not very effective either. I would say that half the content of today’s test that i got right was self-studied.
CHEERS TO A ****TY HIGH SCHOOL!!!

I am referring to violinplayer.

I omitted 4 questions and might have gotten 5-9 wrong, how is that?

okay what about the question that asked something along the lines of…
which is true about a biological community?
a. more energy is available to producers than primary consumers
e. oxygen is a limiting factor (or something)

I was stuck between those two. I dont even remember what I ended up choosing…
Was it E? Because now i’m thinking maybe a bio community is not the same as that trophic level thingy.

**asking again since no one answered before lol.

720-750. But to be on the safe side, 710-760

I’m taking a biology class during the summer at a community college
and i am planning on taking the bio sat II on october.
is the test difficult?
any opinions??

i got decomposers.

hey guys…i just took the test. Bio-M. After seeing your responses, i feel so much more confident. i think i may have gotten like 4-5 wrong, nad i skipped like 2. Im only a frosh. But, I was wondering can anyone tell me what is the score to get a 700? I’m definitely aiming for like somewhere near a 700+, hopefully like a 750. But, i need to know, cuz my kaplan has a greater curve, but then again, PR has a really harsh curve. So, I’m kindo confused? Anyone? And when do we get our results back?!

I’m taking a biology class during the summer at a community college

That’s probably better because Bio is more in-depth at a college, than at a high school. I think you should be fine.

well i only studied 2 weeks before and i didnt think it was that hard. you just have to know the material. if u can remember things well you should be fine

it was a, that was an easy one, if u studied the trophic energy levels and pyramids, producers ALWAYS have the most energy available to them. and how would oxygen be a limiting factor?

Does anyone remember what the very first question about experiment with the dark-colored and the light-colored and the answer to it?

It was one pertaining the scientific method.

^ Even though A is correct, I choose D. It was something about decomposers and the importance of their role in recycling. Pretty tricky one…

assuming what you said was true desigirl23, you will get a 770.

i believe it was observation, hypothesis, and experiment.
in that order.

fresh101 & overrated
thank you so much
one more question :]
i dont know ANYTHING about bio.
i took regular bio during freshmen year…
do you guys still think its ok?

@running

There were light and dark colored moths in the forest=observation

Does anyone remember what the very first question about experiment with the dark-colored and the light-colored and the answer to it?

The first question was about the observation thing (<---- that’s the answer lol). The question itself i don’t remember well.

@ fresh. sry! wait…i realized that i skipped 3. :frowning: lets say, just to be on the safe side, i got like 5-9 wrong. what would my score be?

EDIT: never mind.

Thanks! I put observation - but I thought someone said inference.

^^ i took honors bio and i havent taken AP Bio yet.
