June 2010 Critical Reading

Final two SCs!
. Some experts DISPUTE the theory that exercise has to be STRENUOUS
. Females are CRUCIAL for science not only as mentors but also for RECRUITING

So we now have 65 of 67!!!

Wasn’t there an SC answer with “Ambition” in it?

Yea I had those two as well.

The ambition one was compassion and ruthless, ambition was in the sentence itself.

Aha! That makes more sense. Because I remember selecting both of dark knight’s choices as answers :P

Any idea what the last two might be?!?!!

I still think that one of the answers for the boy in Argentina was domineering.

to simo,

it never said movement or "as a biologist’ in the paragraph

yes it did. she was a biologist.

ok the answer is debatable clealy

Didn’t one of the sentence completions have the word ‘doctored’ in it?

could somebody give me the questions for “familiar and over alarmed” and “problem of little concern” because I’m pretty sure they are the same

wasn’t that the question that asked how the second author would respond to the first author?

familiar and alarmist is how author 2 would respond; passage 1 presents a problem that passage 2 dismisses as of little concern is for the relationship between the 2 passages.

i think that the austria girl passage had 12 questions, and the talent passage had 13

what was experimental??
and how would one know that

yep, we need 2 more for the talent passage and we’re done… come on guys

here’s another answer from the talent passage! what does “explanation” mean

it meant report i believe… anyone agree?

actually i think the word was report and it meant explanation

i remember a question that asked: what does account mean?
I put explanation.

yea i remember that one, but there was another vocab in context one

@NewAccount

You may be right. I vaguely remember putting down an answer that had domineering in it. But I’m really not sure.
