So I assume that everyone had a different test, or at least all the sections were mixed up, but what about the experimental section of the American test taken today?

From the test today, I recognized that there were 4 Math sections, and one was ridiculous, and so I assumed with 80% certainly that it was experimental (Section 5), and skipped like 7 questions. Dumb idea and a gamble, but I was nervous about the whole thing anyways; it was "different" from the Princeton review SATs, and I feel completely skeptical about it.

My question is, however, if section five was experimental. If it was not, I am utterly Omega giga screwed for the Math, and if it was, then I might be safe.

I am assuming that some people had this test (American June), in which sections 1-3 were reading/writing, 4-5 were math, 6-7 writing/reading, 8-9 Math, 10 writing (Might have mixed up the 6-9 sections, but there were four math sections)

By the way, let me just say SCREW YOU COLLEGE BOARD. You say that you are a non-profit organization, and that the SAT measures your ability of how successful you will be in college, and that there are no trick questions to screw you over. COMPLETE UTTER BULLS**T.

My IQ is OFFICIALLY 150+, yet my SAT will be somewhere between a 1700-2100, BULL FING S**T

well I would bet my life that section 3 was reading or writing, and yet there were definitely four math sections, but I assume that everyone had different sections

well from the Official SAT blue book in front of me, they say, and I quote, “The SAT also includes a variable section.” which is singular, and from what I have learned from the Princeton review, there is always only one experimental section.

Or if you mean that there could be multiple experimental sections overall on the test becuase each test is different, then ok.

I had 2 writing sections, 3 and 5. One had a passage about ant lions; the other had a passage about cats purring. Does anyone know which one would have been experimental?

alright that’s what i thought, becuase idk how i would react if i found out there are multiple experimental sections on one test

@ Nerdosaurus, I had the cats purring section but not the ant lions, and I want to say that the cats purring was neither difficult nor easy. Because the experimental sections tend to be very easy or very hard, and the cats purring was neither, I would assume that the ant lions could be experimental, but that would mean that you would have to have 3 writing section excluding the essay. Idk this for a fact, but I haven’t heard of a writing section being experimental, yet you figure they have to review newly created questions somehow.

Thank you so much for the confirmation, if that was not the experimental, my math score would be like an atrocious 500+, but I will now definitely get a 650+. I am a little less skeptical, thanks a bunch. I might not get a 2500 like every does on this site, but at least I might get into mcgill with uconn backup, and become more successful than the braggers who retake the test when getting a 2340!

its completely different for everyone. How do I phrase this. Everyone around you has the same sections or maybe two or three different ones in different order, making the experimental section different from everyone else.
