June 2010: Literature

800 woohoo!!! I can’t believe it. That test was so damn hard I was literally about to get up and quit and walk out the door, but I was like “No, come on, you’re tougher than that.”

I got a 700. It was that darn poem about Pygmalion that screwed me… I KNOW IT!!!

hahaha. It’s all good though, a 700 is high enough.

I got a 700…did not see that coming.

But I guess that’s what happens when you take it on 4 hours of sleep and an empty stomach. I’ll probably retake in November.

About what I was expecting. Hard to be too upset about it though.

I’m a bit depressed, but then again I haven’t taken AP Literature or any literature class, and this is around my SAT CR score anyway, so I guess I should’ve expected this.

how does a 700 look for schools like bc, holy cross, gtown, nova?(my lowest sat II)

You should be fine.

760! What was the curve like, do you think?

520.

Bask in all your glory, 700s and 800s.

740, first time taking Lit, no preparation whatsoever. Should I retake? (Incoming Sr aiming for Ivy-level and planning on applying early) Currently it’s my 2nd highest score. Got 800 in Math II. I dunno…

^If anything, you would risk a lower score with a re-take on a score like that.

Now, in my case… it would DEFINITELY warrant a re-take.

780 I’m really happy about it, I felt like the test was pretty difficult.

does anyone think a school would look at a higher score in my lit subject test than on my lit section on the sat (730) and maybe excuse the lower one a bit? haha I don’t really know, but I really wasn’t happy with my SAT lit score and so i’m surprised this was as high as it was since i didn’t study really. I’m contemplating retaking my SATI just for the lit section (800w,760m) but now I’m even more unsure.

750 for me. I’m happy about it, especially because my CR score was only 710, but it’s honestly EXACTLY what I predicted on test day.
