not necessarily, the curve might be tougher in this one

This was the worst physics test I’ve ever taken…
got 5s on Physics B and C mechanics
and lots and lots of awards and medals at the state level.
never felt like a failure when it came to physics… till today…

^don’t worry about it. SAT 2 physics is mainly conceptual stuff with a tough time restrain. Just practice under that condition and retake it next time.

I doubt the adcoms are gonna hold the physics score against you if you submit this one given your resume

thanks…
Still, I think I’m gonna retake it

On the CB released test -16 was an 800, therefore 13 wrong was a 800. I doubt it deviates much, and if anything the curve was more generous this time

^true, you think I should retake that 790? since i missed alot of questions…

This test did have quite a few obscure questions like the permanent magnets, fiber optics, and resonance/quality questions. No relativity though. I say retake.

I guess that’s what I expected. I would be pretty ecstatic if it didn’t mean I missed 15+ questions. I’m definitely not retaking, so hopefully this is good enough.

Where can you check your scores?

ahhhhhhhhhh 700 :(

I got -7 on the consolidated list and got an 800 :)

would any of you recommend retaking with a 760 (the toughest school i’m applying to is Cornell, no other ivies or more selective universities)

I’m new to this. Do colleges factor in what HS year the test was taken? As a sophomore, took only one subject test (Physics) and got 740 - is that too low?
