^ You’re welcome! And I’m a girl haha

sorry! Ugh… I made that assumption AGAIN

^ Lol, it’s okay. It’s really no big deal :p

To Silverturtle and all…

My son just finished his junior year. He is an athlete (Cross country, basketball and crew) that happens to do better than most athletes in academics. He has a weighted GPA of 3.9 and his classes are Honors and AP. His ACT score is 30. His SAT subject tests are Math 1 - 730, Math 2 - 740 and Chemistry - 630. He took the SAT’s twice and got CR - 590 (both times), Math 740 then 680, and W 580 then 640. His school choices are Penn State, UConn, Syracuse, Univ of Michigan, University of Miami, UNC, Virginia Tech, BC and Georgetown. (Safeties to Reach). He wants to apply for their business schools/accounting. Some are really ranked highly in this area. What do I report? (ACT ONLY?) What don’t I report? (SAT I’s?) What should he take over?(SAT I’s or Chem?) And how do you think he will fare?

780 CR
630 M
770 W

1410 / 2180…Not bad for the first time.

740 CR
740 M
680 W

I am extremely disappointed in math. How many did I get wrong???
and how did i get an 8 essay? The SAT writing is such BS.
but a 2160…i guess that’s not bad for the first time.

780 CR
760 M
800 W
2340!
I don’t know what happened in math though. That’s usually my best subject, and I went down 10 points from last time, but the other two went up.

I’m having mixed feelings here right now. I got
800 W
680 M
680 CR
the 800 on writing is awesome, but I was expecting a mid 700’s to 800 on math, as well as at leas breaking 700 for CR. What went wrong? I’ve had a little worry in the back of my head since I took the test; you know how sometimes your bubbles transfer over to another page when you fold the answer sheet over? That happened to me, and since I was the first person in the first row, the person giving the test took my booklet first, not giving me a chance to erase my stray marks. Do you think this may have affected my score?

600 CR
610 M
740 W

1950

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I thought I’d do better in CR. Overall, ten points worse than my first time :(

March Sat:

CR: 580
Math:640
Writing:730

Total: 1950

June SAT:

CR: 730 (+150)
Math: 710 (+70)
Writing : 800 (79 MC 10 E) (+70)

Total: 2240

Overall increase of 290 points. I gotta say thanks CC for all the tips and strategies for CR. The other day when I posted my best chances I said 2220 if I’m lucky (really lucky) and I exceeded that and went up 290 points from March. I have no idea how I got above a 700 in Math since I’m absolutely dreadful in that category. I didn’t study for math or writing. Just goes to show that playing it by ear does work lol. I’m very happy right now. Dreams do come true :)

CR 740
M 700
W 700

1440/2140.
I’m hyperventilating. 2000 was my “I’ll be alright” mark, 2100 was my “dare not get my hopes up”. First time taking. Oh god, I don’t even care that I thought I did better on writing. Congrats everyone  !

juniormom- I’m a junior now and those are some really good numbers! congrats to your son. Honestly, I’ve been following the college game for years, and I think your son will be at the very worst a 75% chance for any of those schools. He should defeintely get into most of them!

2130

730CR
700M
700W

kinda suprised at my 12 essay.

edit: im about to start yr11(junior year for those in the US), I should retake it right?

Dec 2009 (2150)
CR 640
M 750
W 760 (MC 68 E12)

June 2010 (2040)
CR 620
M 740
W 680 (MC 63 E11) <— hahaha such a bad drop

Screw it, don’t think I’m taking it again next year. One of the reasons why I dropped was probably because I started to not care after seeing my December score. D:

Critical Reading: 690
Maths: 580
Writing: 600 (Essay 8)

Taking into account that I am from Germany and do not attend an English school, I think my score is quite ok, although maths was a failure. :D

But you’re a boy at heart! (considering my lit/CR analysis) :P

^ I hate you haha :stuck_out_tongue: goes to catch some more flying cockroaches to put in your kitchen
