June 2010 SAT Results Thread

Really? Oh thank God! When I go on and read these scores, I panick because everyone is so high up there. But when I talk to people in our public school, their GPA’s might be around his, but they are in on level classes, certainly not AP. And most of them don’t even take subject tests. So, do you think I shouldn’t report his SAT with the 2 scores in the 590 range? Maybe his ACT will come acrosss better. It was 35 - English, 31 - Math, 30 - Science and 25 - Reading with 31 on the Writing. Doesn’t that look better?

CR 680
M 800
W 770

Ok, I need some advice. Obviously my critical reading score isn’t that high but should I retake in the fall? The school’s I’m considering are U of South Carolina, Duke, Princeton, MIT, and Northwestern.

If you think you can do better, by all means :)

Damn, 790 on SAT 2 Bio. Just asking, is that an acceptable score (like colleges consider it 800?), because I know its quite good, but I was really hoping for an 800 :[ so sadddd.

damn i did terribly
first time:
690 CR
740 Math
750 Writing
2180

definitely gonna retake it in october
and this time im gonna study, because I did not take a single practice test or prep for this SAT at all. i dropped out of my prep because I was too lazy to do the work.

^ Only on CC would a 2180 be considered “terrible”… ;)

June:
Math: 740
CR: 700
Writing: 710

March:
Math: 770
Cr:660
Writing:720

Ouch i went down in math and writing, and i got a 2150 again :[, I really inflated my predictions…
I got superscore of 2190, i really really wanted to break 2200+, Can someone please tell me if these numbers are enough for northwestern regular, Brown Ed, and upenn, and combined medical programs. Or should i take it again, i really dont want to and i have to start doing subject tests again, so Im not sure, Please help!, i did really bad and i feel ■■■■■■■■ for getting the same score…

Grrr I didn’t get an 800 in Math as a I expected! But I’m still satisfied with my score. :D

Math: 760
CR:800
W:760 (Superscored W 770)

^ Hey we have almost the exact same breakdowns, except I have 760’s in CR and W and an 800 in M. My superscore is a 2350 though, since I have a 790 in W from January :p

You have to taunt me, huh fledgling? xD

^ Hmm, perhaps? :stuck_out_tongue: Lol!

Actual:

CR: 690
M: 710
W: 800 (80 MC, 12 E) :)

Total: 2200

I’m accurate. :p

To put things into perspective, I got a 168 on my Junior year PSAT.

CR: 760
M: 800
W: 800 (79 MC, 11 E)

I’m mildly disappointed though I probably shouldn’t be lol.

CR: 700
M: 760
W: 740

hit my freshman goal directly on the head at a 2200! when i left the testing center, i was asked how i thought i did, and the scores i said i was going to get were these same scores!

How do colleges view your SAT’s, overall best score or best sections? I’m also guessing it depends on the school…

CR: 690
M: 690
W: 680

efffffffff :s
I don’t even have one weakness. Just all-around suckage.

Do Top Colleges look at writing still, i heard they dont?

^ Of course they do. They weigh all sections equally. To say that Math/CR are the only scores that count is a popular but gross misconception.

CR: 780
Math: 550
Writing: 700

Yeah, math is horrendous. :frowning:

I got a 9 on my essay which really ****ed me off. I wrote two pages worth, five paragraphs with good examples (used Lincoln and Biddle, Lord of the Flies, the USA and USSR during the Cold War). But for some reason, one grader always gives me a 4. o_O I don’t know what to do for my essays anymore . . . Help?

I got an 8 on my essay…I thought i’d get a lower score…definitely didnt expect it! :)
