June 2010: US History

i posted something from wikipedia earlier, it said that the windfall tax was in 1980 but it was a result of the OPEC embargo, so they DID pass a windfall tax as a result of the embargo, and the question was which one did NOT happen, so the answer is antipollution, because they didnt pass antipollution legislation as a result of the embargo, right?

haha harmbee well done

Yes i can confirm the berlin blockcade–
The one with the market economy was an EXCEPT question and yes the answer was cities to farms (tried to trick you cuz farms to cities did happen)

and lastly yes i can confirm the baby boom question and answer

I believe we have 7 more now–add them before we forget and keep your brain juices flowing

they passed a windfall tax on the 1979 embargo, but the question was referring to 1973

yeah thats what i thought too about the antipollution laws… i cant find any antipollution laws during that time period

ALMOST THERE GUYS

-9 = 800? Was this test easier or harder?

hmmm for some reason i forgot every single mercantilist related question that the test had

does anyone remember the choices for the stamp act question?

Well i know we don’t have the question where its which of the grp is correct
1 only
2 and 1
123
2 and 3
3 and 1—
anyone remember what that one was about?

giving blocks of land to speculators does nothing to help the republican party
thats why i put free soil free land free men

colonial charter was definitely priviliges and rights by king, the other ones didnt make sense

and the quote on on townshend acts is definitely “levied taxes to raise revenue” i know i got that one wrong

BABIES!!! i dont think the difference in birth rate from 1930-1945 and 1945-1960 is on the list!, what was the answer to that question anyways?
oh, and i dont remember any question about Japanese internment, anyone remember the exact question?

^Its #82

Wasn’t there a question about the Domino Theory?

If I recall correctly, the domino theory was a wrong answer choice for the cartoon about massive retaliation.

^I don’t remember a question about Japanese internment. Domino Theory was an incorrect answer to two questions I believe.

another answer was which two were anticoommunist

nixon + reagan

did you leave out the question that talked about how colonies served the purpose of mercantilism? it was an “except” question, and i was debating between “used as shipping bases around the world” and “tariffs against imports”

oh so it is, my bad. yeah it was massive retaliation not domino theory, and
@kevlu 93 its towards the top of the list #9,

and below me: the Beat Generation literature is #23 on the list

There was one question concerning Beat generation literature. The answer for that one was “On the Road”.

oh is the answer with “export manufactured goods” referring to the same question?

^yes

@ajax1234 - that’s #2

Was there really not a question about Japanese Internment/Pearl Harbor?

wait and did we confirm that supporters of new south policy wanted “increased manufacturing” or self-reliance?
