June 2010: World History

^yeah protected people are the jews & christians

yes, “people of the book” if I recall correctly. and I had no idea what devshirme was but I reasoned if it was a policy it was probably about ethnic groups. turns out I was right?

I don’t recall the queen elizabeth/trees one…

@mastermind93: oh wait, i think i remember the elizabeth one. i think the answer was imperial rivalries or something along those lines.

which was the largest aztecs, mayas, olmecs?

the question with the scandinavian colonies: the answer was DEFINITELY the Americas, because the question asked where they had established colonies by 1300 C.E.

The Scandinavian question should be the Americas since Leif Ericson’s (American) colony disintegrated after about 100 years or so.

yeah that one was about trying to claim land before others did so it was imperialism. what was the about not a reason for 19th century imperialism? wasn’t it to relieve social tensions back home or something?

which did you put for having the largest land? aztecs, mayas, olmecs?

lol I actually put Incas on that one. probly wrong

[Inca Empire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Inca Empire - Wikipedia)
says the Inca empire was the the largest empire in pre-Colombian america.

does that make the Incas the correct answer?

I said Inca for that one because I remembered something about rulers expanding because they needed land to secure a place in eternity. The one about 19th century imperialism was that they did NOT necessarily want to adapt parts of African/indigenous cultures, I believe. The Queen Elizabeth one was imperial rivalries.

I’m pretty confident I got perfect MC on the AP WH exam, so this curve ought to be very, very lenient (like 12 wrong lenient) because I found the questions to be very difficult. It’s looking like I omitted 4 and got 4+ wrong. Hopefully an 800. Math I was another story…

so far I have taken physics, Math llc, chem and got 800s on all of them. but this world history test was another story…i’d b very happy if I got at least a 700…

same hackers,

I guess this post is almost dead now. lets just all hope that we get 800s

I’m pretty sure it’s Aztecs- look at the maps for Aztecs v Incas- Aztecs is much bigger.

i probably wont take the test until next year

but i would say in order from largest to smallest

aztecs, mayas, olmecs

damn it I always pick the wrong one between last two choices

lol @gohackers
i’m not sure if it’s the right one or not
WHY DOES COLLEGEBOARD HAVE TO SCREW US OVER AND MAKE THIS SO MUCH HARDER THAN THE AP TEST? grrrr

I’m pretty sure it was the incas. the aztec was pretty large but when you look at the incan empire, it spanned the entire andes and moved inland significantly as well
