June 2011 ACT Curves

If anyone was wondering...

36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29
E:-0 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7 -8

M:-1 -3 -5 -6 -7 -8 -10 -11

R:-1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7 -8

S:-1 -2 N/A -3 -4 -5 -6 -7

Let me know if there's one you want to know that isn't up

Ha. I like how you assume people on CC don’t score less than a 29. Maybe you just didn’t want to type all that, but still, unintentionally funny.

ok, just an annoying format question… does that mean that you can get 1 wrong on math/reading/sci and still get a 36??

bump, is batamosie right?

Yup I’m pretty sure he’s right

Yeah, sorry for taking so long to reply. batamosie is right. The curve was unusually generous for this test. And I did assume most people on CC are scoring in the 30s. If you have a question about a particular score, inbox me or post on this thread.

EDIT: actually, it’s only true for math and science. for reading, -1 was 35 and it was like that until the score was 22

Wow, that’s the easiest curve I’ve ever seen in a while.

Just curious, how did you get these?

I ordered the test release info and it’s in the back of the booklet. And yes, it’s the most generous curve I’ve ever seen by a long shot.

Was it a hard ACT?

If you took the April ACT (i did) how did it compare to that?

How many wrongs is a 32 in reading and a 35 in science?

A 36 in each area can have one wrong?

Haha, that makes me really disappointed in my reading score (30). Not surprised with the curves besides maybe the science section though.

yeah, was this test harder than usual? i still can’t believe that 3 wrong is a 35 in math and 5 wrong is a 34…wow

I took the April ACT but I didn’t order the test release info. On that one I got:

E: 35
M: 33
R: 31
S: 27
C: 32

This one did not seem that much harder, if at all. The English, Science, and Reading sections were not any harder. If any section was harder it was math. My scores for this one were:

E: 35 (-1)
M: 36 (-1)
R: 33 (-3)
S: 33 (-3)
C: 34

@texaspg

A 32 in Reading is 4 wrong, while a 35 in Science is 2 wrong. And no, in English and Reading you had to get -0 for a 36. For Math and Science you could have gotten -1.

The only section that was significantly harder than usual was math. There were so many “what the…?” questions that made me really puzzled. I thought I got like a 25 on math because I barely finished it but I ended up with a 32. THANK YOU GENEROUS CURVES!
