Not 9 but 10pm PT

I’ve gotten my ACT scores in the mail today…

^What?

10char

Yeah it definitely came today, I got a 30.

A 30 is a great score! Enjoy your summer and wait until the fall to determine if you want to take again.

Thanks! I think the reason that I get my scores so fast is that because I live only an hour away from a scoring site.

@Jennyleann Lucky you, I still have to wait another 29 hours in anticipation! :P

does anyone know ROUGHLY what the curve usually is for reading and science? obviously no one knows, but just in general?

actually - @JennyLeann since you got your score back, do you know about what the curve was?

Can you tell us your subscores? We can try to predict how many questions you could’ve missed to arrive at each of your scores.

Edit: From the Red Book, it looks like your percentiles were 1 lower in each category than normal (i.e., English at 32 is 97% rather than 96%). That means that either the curves were great (everyone got bumped up a little) or they were terrible (top-heavy, so huge dropoffs). That could also just be a part of test inflation over time…

English - 32 96%
Usage/Mechanics 15 88%
Rhetorical Skills 18 99%
Math - 29 93%
Pre-Alg./Elem. Alg. 15 87%
Alg./Coord. Geometry 15 95%
Plane Geometry/Trig. 15 95%
Reading - 29 87%
Social Studies/Sciences 13 76%
Arts/Lit. 17 97%
Science 31 98%

They’re nit available online yet so how did you guys get your scores?

Looks like a very generous math curve

I freaked out a bit when I saw your math I was like HOLY !? YOU ONLY MISSED AND GOT A 29!?! Then I notice the subscores
ah…where do you guys live to already have your scores?

I live in Iowa.

Also can someone tell me what subscores tell you how many questions you missed? Like on English how do the subscores correlate? I’m trying to predict my score now :P

all the scores and the percentage coincide with the online act one: [Score Information | National Ranks for Test Scores and Composite Score | ACT Student](<a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT)
so does the subscores:
[Score Information | National Ranks for Subscores | ACT Student](<a href=“ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT”>ACT Test Scores | ACT Scoring | ACT)

we can’t really tell the curve unless they talk about questions to score comparisions

Ahh in Iowa? I live in Oklahoma but probably gonna have to wait on online results. The math curve gives me a bit of hope for my score o__o.
Hopefully my science didn’t tank.

Ok, now can someone tell me what that stuff jeany posted on the last page means? I have no clue.math curve is good… Reading? English? Science?

Reading curve seems normal by the chart Noxsing wrote gave
