Thanks Jenny. I’ve looked through the 5 Red Book curves and a few online ones (past ACT free prep booklets), and I’ve come to a few conclusions.

Reading is favorable (+1/+2, doubtfully +3) and English is probably standard (straight drops) or slightly favorable (probably -1/-2 for 35 or -2/-3 for 34). I can’t tell with Math because straight 15s typically fall on 29 or 30, and Science is always random.

The 13/17 really helps with Reading because it means you couldn’t have missed 8 like the typical curve (between 9 and 11, inclusive). Either that or the scale was like -1 for 34 and straight drops, which I don’t want to think about (that tends to happen exclusively in April). English is between -4 and -6 for 32, but most likely -4/-5. I found Math results between -8 and -12 for 29, so I haven’t a clue on it (though I found it harder than April 2012 and June 2011, which both had -1 for 36).

@Bucky You can typically get scores a day or two early through post if you don’t do writing.

Again, these are estimations, and we’re really at the mercy of past testers.

Okay, just posted this on ‘Official June 2012 ACT thread’, thought I’d post it here, too.

I’ve been googling this for ages now and can’t find an answer…
Does anyone know if the curve for international testers is different from the US curve?

I live in Japan because my dad is in the military & my American school on base (not considered international by ACT) wasn’t offering it again, so I took it at an international school (quite an experience btw, haha).
I’m worried that the curve will be less for math because international students are typically better at math & science, and those are the two subjects I NEED a better curve for…
Also, I can’t stand the fact I have to wait a week to two weeks longer than you guys…
Has anyone else taken the ACT at an international school & gotten their scores at the regular time?

Is ACT still from the ACT Company? The curve should all be the same, I dunno why they would change it cause they can’t pinpoint which students would be better even though they are in a different country.

From what I’ve heard, international students get different tests. I think they factor into the actual setting of curves, but I have no basis for that statement.

i took it in IL and i look on my ACT site page and it says Test Option: ACT PLUS WRITING
doesnt say tested after it. will i get it back tomorrow or will i have to wait until later?

NEVERMIND! I SAW IT SAYS TESTED! Hope for the best for everyone! My target is a 35-36, but I feel good because of the curve earlier posted, english and reading are generous, and thats where I need it.

Yeah, we definitely had a different test. I didn’t realize that we would until afterwards, so reading the discussion about questions on here worried me, cause I was like “um, I don’t remember ANY of this…” haha.

Thanks, I guess I’ll just have to wait until I get them.
