I just got the score report for the June SAT today. Did anyone else find the CR curve particularly harsh? I found the CR section in the test to be relatively harder than most others I've encountered. I got a horrible score of 630, by omitting 7, and getting 7 wrong. That is, -16. According to the college board, i should have at least got a 640 if not a 650. I'm truly surprised at this year's curve. Anyone else facing the same predicament?

According to http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf, the average for -16 is 640 so the curve is slightly harsh. This is further confirmed by the fact that the average score for a -5 should be 760 while I got a 750.

The math curve was surprisingly slightly lenient; -2 has an average of 760 but I got a 770 with a -2. Writing is right on the average mark, at least for a -2.

i found the writing curve to be really difficult
i got 1 question wrong and a 10 on the essay and it dropped me to a 770 …

@User22

That doesn’t seem right because I got a 770 with a 10 essay and 2 wrong.

@ xthrillakillax I am talking about the CR curve, not the writing one. =D

Sorry, that comment was directed towards truehype, I don’t know why I typed your name.

Got 650 math for 8 mistakes -.- and 690 CR for 8 mistakes so math was a complete *****!!!

LOL trust me
48/49 with a 10 essay got me a 770 ; i’m mad too

@truehype

I’m looking at my score report right now and I’m positive as well that I got 2 wrong. Did you take the international one?

yeah the international one

1 off “Identifying sentence error”
would 1 off and 2 off with 10 essay both be the same mark ?

Ohhh, that’s why. I took the U.S. one so we had different tests. No, an extra one wrong would bring your raw score from a 48 to a 47, which would result in a lower score.

Any of you planning on giving it again?
