June 2012 World History SAT II

In class (from AP world), I learned that Tokugawa Ieyasu founded the Tokugawa shogunate, and Nobunaga was the first person to start unifying Japan…?

That’s what I thought as well, but according to Barron’s 1st practice test, it’s apparently Nobunga.

Their book said something about how Ieyasu ate the pie that Nobunga made and Hideyoshi baked.

How are you guys doing for the WH SAT tomorrow?
I have too much stuff to go over in too little time.
I’m having a bad feeling for tomorrow… and I even have to drive to a test center that’s 30 minutes away because all test centers near me was full. :(

Toooooo much stuff to study: can’t handle!! haha.

Doing some review and stuff. It’s all good.

I took the test in the big blue book (the one with all 20 subject tests) after rushing through Barron’s (see earlier post)…I got a 780. Currently looking at explanations.

Possibly (“lol,” definitely) made a big mistake by leaving 70% of my studying to this week. About to take the practice test?

And, um, dudes, I only have one practice test in my CB book? O_O

Am I missing something?

Going over chapters 22-24 in Barron’s (Chapter 25 is really basic). Just reading it like a book, no cramming or freaking out. My guess is Chapter 22 (Spread of Modernization) won’t figure too heavily into the test tomorrow, but it’s short so why not.

I’ve been really lazy studying for this ever since the AP exam. Hoping I do okay tomorrow. 0.0

@PPurpleRock
The big CB book only has one, but if you get the USH and WH study guide, it has two.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I got Kaplans, because I really can’t read that much in one night. What has procrastination done to me… Hopefully the AP World test will help me out!

btw what’s the curve like for the SATII World test?

It’s extremely generous. I can’t reacall it verbatm, but it was -17+ = 800 in the 2nd practice test.

What is everyone doing for a last minute review?

Is there a list of books, court cases, etc that we must know for the test?

Guys, anyone know if the Princeton review is an accurate estimate to how you will do on the real test? I got a 740 on the diagnostic test in my book.

Dunno how I feel, there were 22 I got wrong and 2 I didn’t answer (71 correct).

Ew. Didn’t do so hot in my final piece of prep. Got, like, a 670 off the one in the CB book. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail, I guess. :</p>

Maybe I’ll get a lucky break tomorrow?

My main downfall seems to have been being too liberal with guessing. Should of known not to leave so many uncertain questions up in the air.

Did a full test from Barron in about 30 mins (have to review biology too…) and got 730… :frowning: but hopefully with more thought tomorrow I will get higher

I’m going to fail.

Took it. It was very weird, considering it was my first time taking an SAT II test. I’m only a freshman and walked in to a room with many seniors.

I took the AP test beforehand. I think I did well on this test, although I only answered 70-75 of the questions. Hopefully this won’t hurt me too bad, I only guessed if I could narrow it down to two choices. I hope I’ll get 750+.

I was too lazy to use Barron’s. In fact, I studied with the Princeton Review and only read about half of it within the past week thanks to procrastination. I think the PR for APWH was sufficient to do well on this test. Eager to find out my score.

I walked into the testing room not sure if I was going to take it, I just felt so nervous and I hadn’t studied much!! I took two practice tests and got like a 730 on both, so I just decided to take math level 2 :frowning: do you think I should’ve taken it?

^ well considering you got a 730 on a practice test, I would have advised you to but since you were so nervous, you probably made the right choice.

So how does everybody feel about today’s test?
