If the school that you want to go to doesn’t require you to take the writing test, does this mean that they will look at your writing score if you take it or just ignore it??
@MrAustere I’m probably not the best person to ask, lol! But review some math formulas and grammar rules, get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast! If you havent prepared much up to this point at least make sure you’re well rested for the test. Good luck!
That might be a very good idea. I can’t device whether I should skip a section or fly through all questions initially and then go back through.
It depends on the school. I would assume that most which do not require the essay would look favorably on a high essay score and disregard low scores.
For the writing portion of the ACT, is like the SAT in which they score you higher the longer your essay is??
@asian doctor: It’s: branch, peering . Think about it, is the mother peering, or is the branch peering? The only one that says that the mother is peering is F.
Collies are plural - so it’s “their”. Yes, “their” can refer to animals.
Okay SERIOUSLY, is the new science format (6 passages instead of 7) harder? Do they each take more time or what? Need to know this before the test tomorrow D: please and thank you!!?
Which type of passage did they get rid of in the science? One data representation, research summary, or the conflicting viewpoints? I mean what are the 6 types of passages?
Someone be a savior and answer the question above
Good luck tomorrow, everyone!!
We got this!!
I don’t think that anyone knows, for certain, whether the science section will have 6 or 7 passages. And it’s probably not that important. Just work really quickly regardless.
Does anyone who took the April test know the approx curves. How many could you get wrong in science and reading to get a 31 in those sections?
@emersonballer21 I heard I that -9 in reading is a 27 and -10 in science is a 26.
The length of the essay doesn’t matter. I’ve taken the ACT twice and have gotten a 10 on writing both times by writing like 2 and half pages. Just make sure your arguments are somewhat good, include counterarguments, and you’ll be alright.
Anyone else still awake?
Alright good luck to everybody! Hopefully we all won’t die tomorrow…
Good luck everyone.
Let us know how you do and your impression of the test.
Remember, no specific questions can be discussed on this thread tomorrow.
Good luck today guys!
How was the test??
