Yes, exactly, so to prove that a parallelogram is a rectangle you would need to say it has a right angle. Just saying that it has congruent diagonals doesn’t prove that it is a rectangle.
Although, in a parallelogram, the diagonals aren’t congruent. They do bisect each other though
No that is not correct @Popcornnd. In fact, question 1 of the August 2015 exam was the following:
A parallelogram must be a rectangle when its
(1) diagonals are perpendicular
(2) diagonals are congruent
(3) opposite sides are parallel
(4) opposite sides are congruent

here’s a link (i hope it works) to a quadrilaterals chart with their properties

Oh yea I guess that’s right @kimclan1. You first prove that it is a rectangle and then a square. Never mind, thanks.
Lot of people are scared about this exam. I’m like the one of the only ones in my grade (550 kids) not stressing out rite now lol
I timed myself on Monday taking the January test and I took like 2:45. Remember that it is okay to skip a question and come back to it later if you are spending too much time on it.
Same! You can go to nysed’s site and look at the “school report card” to see what percentage of students scored above a 65% and 85% on each regents exam. For my school, Geometry CC has only like 36% of people getting 85+, but 99% passed. It seems like with the curve, it is pretty much unheard of kids failing.
This is interesting:

Do we need to know indirect proofs?
Nope.
@Popcornnd I’m not sure i’ve ever seen one, definitely not on Common Core. I guess they’re fair game though. Unlikely, but possible.
I’ve timed myself, and i took like 1:15. But obviously tomorrow I’m gonna be extra careful, check it over, etc
Wow 1:15 is super fast! I am just way too careful with MCs and read the question like three times before answering it. lol
487 out of 500 students passed the exam in my school last year (97.5%) while 46% achieved a level 5 mastery
Lol i’ve always been a fast test taker. I did practice LE/Bio regents in 40 minutes! But i slowed down a lot and finished in 1:30 yesterday
I took 2:00 exactly yesterday.
Are exterior and interior angles important?
I’ve seen a few questions. One question i have seen is “the ratio of the angles is 5:6:7. Find the smallest angle of this triangle”
I’ve never seen them appear on the common core regents.
