How do you think you did on your subject tests today?
Math felt very easy… Specifically Math no Calculator was the easiest of the three times i’ve taken it
I took Math 2 and US History.
Math 2 was pretty easy in my opinion, although I had an amazing Precalculus teacher. I did have to learn how to do quadratic regression lines on my calculator during the test lol, and I didn’t know what a “unit digit” was, but other than that it was good.
US History was harder for me, but “The Essential Content” was amazing for the test. During the test, it seemed like I was reading certain phrases word for word from “The Essential Content.” There were 6 I wasn’t sure of, but I stilled filled in answers for them all because I was able to eliminate options in all of them.
My only question is if anyone knows if the US History grading scale in the Official SAT Subject Test Guide from College Board is up to date? It seems like the scale is very lenient, and looks too good to be true.
I only took physics. It was really hard, especially because I had only taken AP Physics 1, which teaches only 2/3 of the material on the subject test. I had two weeks to self study the other material (which I did) but topics such as optics and heat sometimes confused me. Luckily, the scale is usually pretty forgiving, so maybe I still did well!
You mentioned that the US History was harder for you.
Did you do the four practice tests in The Official SAT Subject Test in U.S. History Study Guide?
Just wondering how the June 2nd test compared to those practice tests.
My son also took Math 2 and US History, and his comment was, “we shall see.”
Are there official practice tests for Math2 somewhere?
@gallentjill Yes, the College Board sells books with released subject tests
I had the general Official SAT Subject Test Guide that has one for each subject. I felt like it was very similar in my opinion. However, I regret not getting the one that is just 4 US History tests because I feel like I could have used the extra practice. Although I think I did fine, I think I should have strategized more with the guessing penalty, so I may retake.
Math 2 was okay.
Chemistry was brutal. So much Stoich Ran out of time with a LOT left.
But my reasonings were a bit slow as I basically self studied the entire syllabus in 3 weeks. So there wasn’t much time for it to all sink in. But IMO the test was much harder than any practice test I wrote. Esp. PR
When are scores supposed to come out?
@Candyblossom1245 scores are supposed to come out July 11
Did anyone take the SAT Physics subject test? Any thoughts on it? I thought it was a lot harder than the practice tests released by college board. Hopefully the curve is really big so I can clutch an 800.
I got a 750 on the Biology SAT with only self-prepping myself.
