Thanks for responces but i have one important question left. :) What kind of test is world history, i mean there is one book which i must study some periods of world history and after this i will be completely ready for the test?? or unexpected questions come which may not be included in the textbook. and if such book exsists what is its name.

you people are retarded....

there is pretty much no point in retaking anything about a 700. Maybe you can retake 700-720 but thats it. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 780 AND AN 800. you people completely misunderstand SATs. They are tests to show that you can perform well across the board compared to everyone else in the country. They aren't the end all and be all of college admissions. If you prove you are competent (like about 700 for ivies) then SATs are no longer looked at. A 740 versus an 800 is not going to keep you out of anywhere, nor is it going to open any more doors. College admissions is about extra curriculars, character elements and potential, not about standardized test scores. If you retake a 720+ you are wasting your time and your money, and feeding into the illusion of high stakes testing that the college board has instilled in this country. They just want your money. keep that in mind.

I'm relatively new to CC, and I think it's becoming a bad influence on me.

770 Chem

but I'm slightly jealous of everyone who got anything higher than me, and frustrated with people with 750+ who think they should retake.

I'm still very happy considering I didn't take the AP (just honors), my scores for practices went 520, 580, 620, 650...(Barron's) and this is my first one.

800 math2
750 physics -> way better than expected

I pretty much failed them all.

I'm def. retaking physics (I'll have C next year and can prepare/learn more) and hopefully, I can atleast get a 750+

But I'm a little anxious/nervous about my Chemistry....-_-;
I didn't really have a course in it (our teacher got fired after a quarter and we had a sub for one, and another teacher for only one semester w/o any labs) and so, i don't know if I can raise it up. But it's waaaay too low to be competitive to any Ivy or anything. Arggg.

-_-; Extinguished my flame for princeton sniffs

Great, now I have to retake atleast two more SAT IIs in November....bangs head against wall HOw do retakes look? Is it just the final score that matters?

IMO i think that if u get like 700- then go ahead and retake. i mean if ur at like 750 ur already in about the 97-98%ile. just shut up and focus on something else! not only r u wasting time but ur parents money, unless ur a freaking rich kid then 18 bucks is like 1 cent to u.

800 Lit
790 USH
760 French

I'm happy.

I completely did not expect to do the way I did. Before I killed myself studying the week of, I hadn't had Biology since first term last year (and it was honors, not AP), and I hadn't had math since first term this year and it was only precalc and not very in depth. And I was just coming off AP USH, and I'm almost sure that I got a 5 on it. So the logical order of my scores should be USH, MathIIC, and BioE.

Wrong.

Biology-E: 770
Math IIC: 750
USH: 690

I'm wanting to do SCEA Yale and there is only one SAT test date left and I have to use it for SAT I's (only scored 1450/2110). Do you think that USH score can make a difference between deferred and rejected? I mean, I'm almost positive I got a 5 on the AP test for it, and 99% sure I got a 4 (I used every last one of those darn pages in that essay booklet). Will they see that and ignore the 690? And plus, does it matter as much since my major is completely unrelated (pre-med/bio)?

I got a 700 on world history. It's my first SAT. I'm really not very happy, I'm dying to go to the University of Pennsylvania and major in either Anthropology or History, so I think I might just retake it, since UPenn is Ivy League. What scores do Ivy League school want, anyway? It was hard though, and I didn't really know how to go about studying, so I don't know how much better I can do...I mean, I love history, but that test...ugh.

What do you guys think?

got a 730 on both Bio and math IIC... Happy about bio score, but expected higher for math...

I'm taking AP bio next year so that will help

780 French
780 Chem
710 USH

(Last year: Bio E 730)

I'm happy w/French, pretty happy w/Chem, though an 800 would've been nice, but I'm pretty annoyed about US, considering the usually generous curve. Using the compiled question list on this site and the given curve, which people said they had used to predict scores before and been exactly right, I got 770-790. Ugh. Not retaking though. I'm done.

What about 690? Just missed the 700 . If you have 2 other Subject tests above 750 and the 3rd is 690, would you retake the 3rd subject that is 690?

^^ I'm happy with my scores. :] I got over 400. ^_^

450 Chem
470 Math IC
600 USH

=] Yay! =.=; I'm telling the truth. xP

I'm TOTALLY GOING TO RETAKE MY M2C (I got a 780 and nearly killed myself).

It's not about the 20 points. It's about the dignity!

It's embarassing to have not gotten an 800.

Since I go to a public school in Canada, I have very little knowledge in the American college admission system -- I'm just wondering that when you send the scores to the college, do they only look at your actual scores, or do they factor in the percentile standing as well?

ye it is with a curve like that i will be retaking also

ugh

710 math2
650 bio M

800 Math IIC (:))
710 Biology... I feel like I could have done better :/

Math IIC - 800
USH - 790

I was all happy to tell my parents the news, but then my dad told me he'd already gone into my account and told my mom the scores. Oh well. xP

You should not have told him how to get in in the first place.

Chemistry: 750
Math IIC: 770
World History: 790
