Edit: Those are my completely realistic goals.

My reach goals are

I just hope I don’t get a BS essay prompt like last time.

i want to go from a 1930 (october) to a 2250 (june)… im going to work for it… i need 2100+ to feed my ego… lol

I just graduated high school so I have all the time in the world to prepare ^_^

I may transfer colleges, so just in case I thought I would retake the SAT (originally 1600 and 1780). Now that I’m actually starting to put in effort toward preparing, my score has dramatically increased to around the 2100-2200 range (assuming I receive another ‘7’ essay). I’ve been using McGraw-Hill workbooks to remaster old concepts as well as Grammatix for strategies. I finished TPR, Gruber’s (odd CR/W, easy M), and Peterson’s Workbooks (way too easy), but they were pretty useless to me.

I still haven’t really touched the Blue Book or Barron’s SAT 2400, which I have sitting here besides me. I plan to finish them + spend a whole day working on essays in order to conclude my prepping. I scheduled myself to finish Thursday and do nothing on Friday, but I’ve been blasting through everything super quickly so I may just have time to crack open TPR’s 11 SAT’s.

I’m hoping for a 2300+ of course, but I would be satisfied with anything above 2100 :]

PS: Good luck to everyone~

Eak. About a week away!

Ahh!! I can’t believe the SAT’s a week away!

I took them in Jan. 09… I’m hoping to bring each one up to the following

Math - January 660 - June (hopefully) 720
Critical Reading - January 680 - June (hopefully) 740
Writing - January 720 - June (hopefully) stays the same haha

I would be absolutely ecstatic if I could pass 2150… I would probably collapse on the floor if I somehow manage to get more than 2200.

Does anyone think I can do it?

I got 2120 and 2200 on October and January, respectively. Now I’m going to take my third and the final test, aiming for 2300+.

NotToo_Crazy ,
you can def make your WR 780,your CR is good and your Math 760 .THis is 2280 .You can do it

I’m freaking out over this test. I chalk it up to learning from CC that anything <2400 = automatic fail. :P

My Score is now 1660 (M:680! W:580! CR:400!!!). So I am hoping for at least 700 in writing and at least 500 in Writing.

It is my last chance as an international student.
That’s a huge Problem. I have to excede 1800 in this Test. I Hope So. Wish me Luck

Why is it your last chance as an intl. ?

How much do colleges care about the writing section? I just took a BB practice test and got a perfect score (!) but I’m worried about the stupid essay. I haven’t even really practiced for it, embarrassingly; I look at a topic and my mind just goes totally, beautifully blank. And then I can’t write anything. I guess I’ll be spending the next week doing a ton of practice essays, but I won’t enjoy it! D: [Has anyone had luck improving their essays…or starting them?]

Is it late to switch my SAT II’s to an SAT?

^ I think–don’t quote me on this–that you can tell the people at the test center you want to switch and they will let you. (You probably have to pay a fee, though.)

Anyway, as for me, I’m taking this for the second time; I got a 2280 (800 CR / 760 M / 720 W) in March. Hoping for, but not expecting, an 800 in math, and I’d also like to raise my writing score above 750. Stupid essays.

The essay is so easy, I could post a template that I use that has on average given me a score of 11, but I’m not that nice. (Actually, I have english essays I should be writing)

@Prism > As haavain said, yes, you probably can. You’ll have to ask the people at the test center if there’s still place for you to take the SAT instead of the SAT II, if they agree, you’ll have to pay (Idk if it’s right there or after that) a 22$ fee. Otherwise you can also just not do it on that day and sit for it on a next session. That’s what I’m sure of, since it’s what I’m gon do.

@Borb > makes me think of a certain mathematician who once claimed he had a superb demonstration about a pretty difficult problem but the margin of his page was too small so he wouldn’t write it…

Yeah, I don’t think the essay’s /hard/, it’s just that I’m bad at writing lengthily. Not to mention the metric they use is sort of dumb, in my opinion.

moha92 ,why is this your last chance ?You can always retake in Oct or NOv ?

Maybe they don’t offer those dates where she lives?

does the sat in oct. or nov. really count? is there a rumor about the sat score in junior year is the most important?

does anybody know if the june tests are known to be pretty easy or not?
