June ACT English Section

@liv4physics- yeah, I remember that. You had to replace it with the actual name.

And lmao Stanford!

@liv4physicz, THE DAMN MATH AND SCIENCE!!! Ughh, it ****es me off!!! But the funny thing is someone on this forum fell asleep during the science.

@volleyball13, neither do I but I might have no choice. Atleast I have almost 3 months to prepare AGAIN!

i saw that. how would you even manage to do that? hahaha.

what math/science problems/passages were tough for you?

Yeah, the Math for some reason caught me completely off base. And the Science well I just suck at.

I can’t remember specific problems.

@StanfordCS i know! i really dont want to have to wait that long…i was hoping to get all my testing done this year, but i have to improve on my SAT and i dont think that this score will be as high as i want it to be either:( but hopefully we can go up a lot in 3 months!

i thought the math was pretty easy, but i didn’t like the reading and science, they go wayyyy to fast for me

IMO, English and Reading were a joke, but Math and Science were hard as hell. One kid at my testing location did the first problem in the Math, then he read the second and said “**** this” and just guessed random answers for the other 59.

The valedictorian at my school, who also took the June ACT felt it was hard as hell too. I mean this kid is a straight up genius, he nearly won Intel or Simiens cant remember.

same. reading and science are designed that way though on purpose, to throw people off. :(

and stanford, what math are you in?

yeah, and the last passage was awful! i kept getting all the facts confused with each other and i really didnt have time at that point to go back and look…hopefully it turned out alright though

^the last passage of reading? the milky way one?

@liv4physicz Calc AB. (I know tell me, right?)

And finished with a 95.32% in there and likely a 5 on the exam.

@liv4physicz, what math are you in?

hahaha! i’m only in honors precalc!

^What are you Sophomore, Junior, or Senior?

I feel so stupid!!!

junior… hahaha why would i be a senior?

i’m taking calc bc next year though. and im pretty good at math in general. i also took the sat math 2 subject test last week, so maybe prepping for that helped…?

I am really good at Math, in AP Calc AB, and Science in AP Physics B, and those two sections literally ****ed me.

IDK, I saw many Seniors from my high school coming to take the test.

Watch, I’m *****ing now, but I probably end up with a decent score. If I somehow got in the 30’s I’d be stunned.

It’s actually more beneficial to be in pre-calc because the act only goes up to trig so it would all be fresh in your mind. I’m in pre-calc too!

what’s your best act so far?

I got a 29 in April.

And for my Stanford hopes I need a 31+

yeah it was the milky way one…i was too rushed.

but im in honors pre-calc/ taking calc bc next year and i thought the math wasnt too bad, i think i only missed 2 questions. and it would have only been 1 but i ran out of time for the last one

for stanford, you’ll definitely need as high as you can get. are you a urm?
