I scored a 28 the last time around, but there were several repetitive issues that came up - simple stuff that I didn’t get wrong this time around. Thinking about it today, I concluded that I got between 2 and 3 wrong this time, in comparison to the 9 wrong I got last time. So I’m hoping, at worst, to get a 32 on the English. And if it goes how I planned, then a 33-34.

I got 35 last time (also 35 composite). Somewhat to my disappointment, I’m expecting another 34 or 35, depending on the curve. I felt this one was slightly harder than my last (April), but I remember there being a few confusing questions in each.

My last two times I got a 34 (June 2010) and a 35 (September 2010) on the English. I am hoping that my score will stay at least at 35 this time around!

so i’m not sure if i’m just over thinking this one, but what did you guys answer on the question from the Indian passage where the answer choices were something like
“shoot the breeze”
“speak”
“converse and discourse”
and something else…
i put “speak” because it seemed the most reasonable, but i wasn’t sure if they were going to be tricky and say, oh “shoot the breeze” fits the tone of the passage better.

Aww, I put shoot the breeze! I thought it was an indian term. xD Haha I’m only joking. I put speak as well.

For the mural one, does anyone remember what they put for the sentence that was about the city officials hiring the woman to paint the mural? It was like “She was contacted by several of the city officials, [who] wanted her to paint the mural.” I was stuck between putting who and whom but I ultimately ended up putting who.

I also remember for one of the stories, I got NO CHANGE (Choice A/E) for like 90% of the the answers. Did anyone else do that? :P

^that one almost got me… im not sure if “eyes’ reception” was an answer, though… since I think it could have been correct? (i think I was looking for that answer, but didn’t see it… maybe im wrong, though).

The answer was definitely “eye’s reception.” I think eyes’ reception was a choice, but it is incorrect because the previous sentences were talking about how the eye interprets color or something, but the main point was that it was talking about a singular eye, not both of them.

The connect and clarify thing was in the reading section on the outer space passage about the milky way and stuff. It was like, “What does the passage about [whatever] help accomplish for the reader?” and the choices I remember are “connect and clarify the concepts” or something, and “make the concept whole.” I chose make it whole because the passage was something about “So as scientists piece the hypotheses together, they help to bring it under one concept” or something like that…

kinda random but i really think the answer for the california question was california’s people’s because there was a word after people’s that the people would be possessive of. the people belong to california but the word after people’s (i forgot the exact word) belongs to the people
