June Act Score!

I’m so happy I improved from February! Definitely worth the extra time/money.

Composite: 34

English: 35 (same)
Math: 33 (yes!)
Reading: 36 (same)
Science: 33 (I’ll take it :])

Now just SAT scores tomorrow, and I am so done.

composite: 32 (up from 30 in March)
English: 31 (up from 28)
Math: 28 (down from 29)
Reading: 34 (down from 35)
Science: 35 (up from 27!)

I can’t believe that getting one wrong in reading gave me a 34… The curve on the June ACT is seriously whacked!
Just waiting for my SAT’s tomorrow (hopefully my math will finally pull out of the 600’s!) and then I am DONE!

pimouse, I too had a disproportionately low reading score.

+1 Charlie.

I got a 31, again…

April 2009

30 - English
33 - Math
30 - Reading
29 - Science (ew)

June 2009
31 - English
29 - Math (outraged)
32 - Reading
31 - Science

Should I retake or send both of these 31s?

Ugh, I got a 32 composite:

Math: 35
Writing: 35
Reading: 31
Science: 28

Stupid science section… blindly guessed on the last 4 and knew I missed a couple from the previous science “passage.”

I got a 2210 on my SAT (790 Math, 710 CR, 710 Writing), so I’m guessing I should send my SAT scores, right? How critical are colleges when looking at the science section? Do they generally care more about the composite score?

30 (31E 33M 29R 27S)

worse than last time :(

29 for my first go around. im pleased

@Evalis
I would definitely send your SAT score. A 2210 SAT > 32 ACT (which is equivalent to a 2130 SAT). Colleges evaluate the Science section like any other component of your ACT score; besides that, you’re SAT section scores are much more consistent than your ACT section scores.

This was my first ACT, taken with no prep.
I got a 33 Composite (34E, 33M, 31R, 34S)
How bad is this if I’m aiming for HYPSM?
FWIW, got a 2130 on the SAT a year ago, also with no prep

34 composite… Thank goodness. I thought the science section killed me, but it turned out to be my best:)

The reading curve was ridiculous. I scored 33s and 34s on the Real ACT practice tests for reading. But on the actual ACT I scored a 27. ***

April 2009
C: 32
E 33
M 28 (And this is my best subject??)
R 34
S 31 (Suprising)

June 2009
C: 35 (whoot!)
E 35
M 34 (there we go)
R 34
S 35

Thank goodness my goal score was 33, or I wouldn’t have taken it again.

English: 28
Math: 28
Reading: 28
Science: 33

comp: 29

not to bad for no studying at all but i thought id do >30
oh well ill just wait for my june sat score

Composite: 35
English: 34
Math: 35
Reading: 35
Science: 35
All in all, I’m freaking out. This was my first time to take it, and I was hoping to get a 30. I’m really just in shock about my reading score…

First time.

English: 36
Math: 35
Reading: 36
Science: 33
Composite: 35

I’m quite pleased with my English score, because that was killing me on the practice tests. But then again, so was Science. And it ended up getting me in the end. I really wanted the 36, but my SAT score will still carry.

But question: do I go back for September? I’m an AP student trying to get into Oxford/Cambridge, so will the 2400/36 guarantee me admission?

EDIT: Just remembered that Oxbridge applications are due in September. No point in retaking the ACT then. Oh well.

Why would you retake a 35 anyway?

English- 34
Math- 34
Reading- 20 (@#$%^&@#$!!!)
Science- 34

Composite- 31

WOW. Thank you reading. Expecting 35-36 but I was shocked that I didn’t finish math and only finished 2 passages. I’ll definitely be back in September…

Ack…I’ll be more specific

Composite: 27
English: 25
Math: 34
Reading: 22
Science: 26

It’s alright; I’m happy that I was able to raise everything up from last time by at least a point, except reading. ***#$%^&, this is ridonculous, lol…guess I have to practice on everything but math like I did last time…I keep improving on the math part by two points every time I take the ACT (30–>32–>34), but I don’t even study math. o_o

Suggestions for a senior-to-be?

Composite: 33 (goal im sooo excited)
English: 34
Math: 34
Reading: 30 (don’t know what happened)
Science: 33 (finally got a good score)

Im so happy this was my third time taking it and im finally done, the stress has been lifted off my shoulders. Also do you think this is good enough for brown if im number 1 in my class and from a low socioeconomic background?
