June ACT Scores back...how to improve?

I have taken the ACT twice, in April and June of this year.

The first time I was very pressed for time and didn't finish the Math or Science sections, resulting in a lower score than I felt I could've gotten potentially.

Composite: 28
English: 33
Math: 25
Reading: 30
Science: 25

The June test date went well, I paced myself better and was able to finish almost all of the Math yet the science I still struggled on.

Composite: 31
English: 36 (I was pretty shocked by this, haha)
Math: 31
Reading: 32
Science: 26

I plan on taking it once more, in order to bring up that science score. It's just so many passages in so little time, and for me I just can't get to all the material. I basically read the questions and look for the information in the passage, yet i still run out of time. Should I do more practice tests or is there any tips you all could give me?

My ultimate goal is to get a 33, which would put me in the higher ACT score range at Boston College. Do you think I could do it by bringing up my science score?

Thanks!

Yeah, I emphasize with you on the Science section. I find myself in the same situation as you very often- question, then go back to passage for answer, but still don’t finish. I’d say the best way to do it is to take plenty of practice Science sections (TIMED!) and work out a plan of attack for the real thing- how you’ll approach each question in a timely manner, time allotted per question, etc. Once you do that, I can guarantee that score will rise significantly. I feel like Science is the only section I have time issues with, haha.

Yeah, practice tests would probably be a sure fire way. I feel like I won’t be able to repeat a perfect score in English though. Good thing Boston College superscores!

How did everyone else do?

I was in almost the exact situation as you. Everything was good except for science. Well I took a trillion practice tests which payed off by bringing my science from a 27-31. I finally got a composite of 33 which was nice.
