June English Thread

sweet, anyone else?

Nah, I said for that hearing question that it provided irrelevant information. If that was added it would have caused the conclusion to have a very weak ending (almost definite this was one of the anwsers but I could be wrong) it was like “if the author added this it would weaken the paragraph” or something, the awnser was definitly don’t add it though.

Edit: also didn’t it sentece she wanted to add in say “Some people say they can hear the aborialis”
I’m pretty sure no where else in the passage did it mention people could hear the aborialis

^isn’t that what we just said?
To take it out?

Yes, which is why it could have undermined what was said earlier too. It was relevant, but not the point of view. Man these questions are so dumb.

^and you manage to wonder how you could even think of getting 2-3 wrong right? lol

I also put UVA’s answer, I looked at it for a while and I was between his or the undermine one, but it seemed that that statement was not only relevant but also made it have a very weak ending. Im not sure though

Any other thoughts?

actually i don’t remember what i put exactly but i do remember that i had undermine as one of my answers. Not too sure actually…don’t go with my answer.

Exactly Fresh, haha.

And Wong, you said it’s relevant? I don’t know what you’re saying.

Man, what happened to the “all or above” type questions the AP tests have?

^The ACT’s is too cool for that.

Ah sorry, fresh, I meant to say irrelevant.

Whatever, we shall see in 2 weeks…

we SHALL.

lol that sounds so corny. From where i come, if you said “we shall see in two weeks” or “we shall”, you would get slapped and humiliated.

where do you come from?

you really think im going to announce my location on a PUBLIC FORUM?

Oh yeah, I forgot. People spend their days trying to locate ACT forum users so they can stalk them.

Seriously, you would need FBI technology and a warrant to get your IP address.

^sarcasm was detected my friend.

lol seriously, im not saying where i live.

Lol. 10char

I live in aurora, IL. GET AT ME.

anyone remember one of the first questions which had “than” underlined? Was that correct? Not sure if i am recalling correctly.
