June Math 1C question

Whatever happened to that question #49 with the area of triangle question? was it an error? cause if it is they better give extra 20 pts or something! dam so close to my goal.......

Lol, yeah (I agree). Isn't the Collegeboard posting a "detailed analysis" report online on July 1st? Maybe we'd have to wait until then to see what the answer to 49 was. However they could just write a, b, c, or d and not write how to do the problem...

will they know what if there was a mistake though? did anyone file a report? cause i remember last year there was a mistake for chem so they gave certain people plus 30 points or something. Maybe they'll do that for math 1C too hopefully.. thats if there really WAS a mistake and there WAS right?

bump.................. : )

woo89,

I don't think there was a mistake. On a previous forum I believe the general concensus was that many people mistakenly used the X axis as opposed to the Y axis... I myself have a foggy memory and am not quite sure... but it'd be great for an extra 30 points.

actually i used the y axis and even after doing that i didnt find the answer. people who used the x axis found an answer very close to a given choice, but it specifically said y axis if i remember correctly........ ah wutever i jus hope it was a mistake lol.

how do u file a report?

there was no error, you used the x-axis to find the answer when the question said that you need to use the y-axis to form the triangle.........i used the y-axis and remember getting one of the answer choices

I second Dr.Pepper's comments.

However, as I only got a 780 on it, I suspect that I got the question about points P,Q,R on a straight line, wrong. I didn't quite understand that question, could anyone please explain?
