June Math IIC

**** this ****.. i failed

for one of the complex number ones i think the answer was 6, 6+2=8
x+y=6 for the 3^x + 3^y one
5.0 minutes for an elephant blood circulating one...?
an answer like -2.9 < x < 1.334
which of the following increase II and III; both derivatives were positive for all x
I II and III for like the second question; less than zero, equal to zero, or greater than zero but im really not sure i did that question without giving it a second thought

You could probably make a 750 with a 38/50.

ty whatiscollegeok.

Wow that was tough..for the r one i think i put r was 5

I got "6" whatiscollege like you said.

i think i read somewhere the real part has to match the real part and imaginary has to match the imaginary-

so set (r+2) = 8 and solve for r to get 6 just ignore the imaginary part

This one was really hard someone verify the work:

Given x-y > 0, find absvalue(y-x) - (y-x)

rewritten, y-x < 0, so you get (y-x) + (y-x) which is 2(y-x) (remember y-x is negative; subtracting a negative gives you the opposite)

but y-x is negative; the absolute value canceled the negative and the sum must be positive, and to correct that problem multiply by -1

= 2x-2y

Could I get a 700 with a 30/50?

Probably not. A 30/50 will most likely be somewhere in the high 600s.

whatiscollegeok, that is what I got except that all I did was I used to different values for X and Y. I was short on time, so I couldn't get into that much detail, but I got the same as you.

for the elephant circulation, I think I got 2. something minutes

Should I be glad I decided not to take it this time?

Confirming:

1913 for the exponential one
(3,0) for the logarithm problem

2X - 2Y for: (this is what I remember, but I'm not sure)
when x > y
abs(x-y) - (y-x) = ?

Come to think of it though, I don't think I tested any negative values. ****!

sin B = 1/4

Some problem with the answers I, II, III for can it be =0, greater than 0, less than 0

I screwed up on the cone problem, I interpreted the "similar shape" as radius of new cone = 2. Also messed up on the pizza problem, and one other.

If I got 3 wrong and omitted 3, what score can I hope for? What's the worst it could be?

hey, what did you guys put down as the inverse function graph?

like, it gave 5 graph pictures (cube, parabola, sin, and 2 others, i forget)

question number was in the teens or summit

A, x^3 .

I put the cubed graph i think

I got cubed as well!

F(x) = (x-1)F(x-1)

F(.4) = 2.7

find F(1.4)

F(1.4) = (.4)(2.7) = 1.08

nebody have consolidated list of answers?

Ehh...I think I over reacted. I think I did better than I thought.
