June Math IIC

yea wat was the answer to that roots question with that long polynomial??

i think i said 3....

the answer to the roots polynomial was 1.

what was the answer to the pizza toppings one?

pizza topings? lol

the answer to the polynomial problem was 1
imaginary zeros have to come in conjugate pairs
so it has to either be one, three, or five
and they're asking the least so its one

anyone get -3 as the slope of line with the triangle that had area of 2.

for the pizza toppings was it 876 / 3!? that came out to 56 i think.

Ugggh.
I thought the matrix question was asking you to multiply 2x5 and 2x4 matrices... which is impossible, so I left it blank. I thought that it was a stupid typo on the College Board's part.

Also... I thought that the depth of the cone was like the height? ...I guess not. That confused me. I haven't studied geometry in such a long time... ha =P

Whoops. I think that I got 90 for the pizza toppings one.

8 nCr 1 + 8 nCr 2 + 8 nCr 3.
I haven't done probability in 2 years, either, though... and completely made that up. So, I'm probably completely wrong =(

for the cone problem... is depth the same as height? because if it is i got 2

graph with inverse I said was the cube-looking function.

does anyone remember if the question for the intersecting spheres one specifically said the spheres were hollow?

i didn't remember reading that so i assumed they were solid. egh.

no not 3. one real root and 2 pairs of conjugate imaginaries.

was it 56 or 92???

yup, i put the cube function too. and i got -3 for the slope.

any1 get pi/b for the one asking about period?

the inverse one was the x^3 looking graph, because its the only one that passes the horizontal line test... therefore has an inverse fucntion

i just added the three different combinations together.

I put 56 for pizza toppings. I think I got -1 for the slope though.

i got pi/b for the period

re: pizza topping

wasnt it 8!/1!7! + 8!/2!6! + 8!/3!+5!
so 90 something?

i got 2pi/b...anybody else?
