June Math IIC

yes, it was 92.

i don't remember what i got for the period...

I got pi/b how did you do the slope question?

Are you saying that the cone decreased proportionally? Because then it may have been 3.2, but if radius was constant(how I read it), then it was 2.0.

4pi2^2 (pir^2h)/3 = 16/3 pi
2pi2^2/3 = 8/3 pi

8/3 is one half of 16/3

(if this cannot be posted, delete this)

If it was proportionally shrunk, then I did it wrong.

find the height of the triangle since you know the other side and the area. the height was one so the slope was -3 (up three, across one).

im pretty sure it was pi/b because tan has a period of pi normally and i got -3. slope

any1 remember the answer for the glove question i got 7/51 i think.

8 ncr 3=56

no, because you also have 8 ncr 1 and 8 ncr 2. you have to add them together.

pizza toppings: wouldnt it just be 8 ncr 3... which is 56 right?

you can have 1 topping, 2, or 3. so you'd add the three combinations together. it's not just a matter of 3 toppings out of 8.

I got 7/51 as well

as for the pizza toppings, i got 56. 8!/3!5! or something.. i don't even know what ncr means.

Ugggh.
I thought the matrix question was asking you to multiply 2x5 and 2x4 matrices... which is impossible, so I left it blank. I thought that it was a stupid typo on the College Board's part.

Also... I thought that the depth of the cone was like the height? ...I guess not. That confused me. I haven't studied geometry in such a long time... ha =P

Whoops. I think that I got 90 for the pizza toppings one.

8 nCr 1 + 8 nCr 2 + 8 nCr 3.
I haven't done probability in 2 years, either, though... and completely made that up. So, I'm probably completely wrong =(

On the matrices, IIRC, the inside numbers are the new ones. So it is 5x2.

just adding the combination together, i got 92. that was annoying though.

for the inverse, i put the tan graph

i also got 7/51
the inverse graph is definately the x^3 looking graph

okay..everyone...the answer to the matrix question was the last choice (E)...i believe that was 5x4

IM POSITIVE !!!!!!!!!!!

no, DSC, the outside numbers are the new dimesions, and the inside have to be the same. 5 x 4

x^3 *

though that probably doesnt make sense now.

=P

yea its 5x4 for sure

Anyone remember what the matrix question was? I'm now worried...
I got 92 and 7/51.

yup, it's definitely 5x4.

Blah, that Math test was harder than all the other ones I took from CB >_>

I hope the curve is generous!
